Germany is the richest country in Europe and the most expensive home I ever saw was 3.5 million. It was on the market for two years and I bet only sold after a hefty discount.

Most out-of-touch thing I saw: a billionaire couple who had a “backup kitchen” just for the nanny and kids, so the “main kitchen” stayed showroom-perfect. The kids weren’t allowed to touch the fridge in the real one. That level of aesthetic obsession over basic living was such a walking red flag of disconnection from reality.
