I would want to meet my great grandfather. He came from Germany in the 1800s, I don't know what part of Germany he lived in. I'd want to know why he came to the US, and what his initial experience was.

Alive, i think i’d most like to meet Dax Shepard.
Dead, my dad is the most natural response, but i knew my dad. When you use the term “meet”, i assume you’re clarifying someone i have not previously met.
That’s tougher. There are a lot of interesting people that we have lost, and many of them have in depth books, videos and other intellectual properties that help us to kind of know them. I would want to meet someone about whom i can’t learn much vicariously. Maybe James Dean. He famously avoided much public exposure outside of his work and died fairly young. Maybe Evel Knievel. I wonder how much of what we think we know was the public persona he created for the media and his fans. Similarly, i wonder if Winston Churchill was the man he projected or if some of that was what he thought was truly best for his country and fellow Brits.
