It's never crossed my mind considering I always thought the normal and healthy way would be for it to be unlocked or at the least, both partners have each other passwords naturally, I would say let the opportunity slip, one day ask for the person's phone just for something stupid and if the reaction is fishy, then the next opportunity that opens up, go through their phone, but genuinely just use their phone for something dumb, if they don't have an issue with it then I think it's safe to assume you are being suspicious for nothing and you don't have to go through their phone to find anything suspicious because if they gave up the phone that easy, weither they are doing something worthy of suspicion, their worry-less reaction would most likely point to the fact you probably won't find any evidence on the phone.

Wouldn't matter as he wouldn't care and often I have his phone with me where I could easily look at nothing interesting. Neither one of us has much of anything on our phones except test messages between us the kids and family with a few from employee's at the restaurant.
