No, a husband's choice to cheat is never his wife's fault. Adulthood means every person is responsible for their own actions. If a husband is unhappy in his marriage, he has the duty to talk to his wife or leave the relationship. He is not forced to betray her trust.

Legally, they won’t go to jail but proven infidelity can and WOULD most likely affect divorce readings.
Morally, if both agreed to a monogamous marriage then it is completely wrong.

Either way you look at it, it’s wrong. And your spouse isn’t your property but if you share time, bills, responsibilities together and having sex with them then you DO deserve honesty (not that hard), and respect. Especially if you don’t want to be exposed to nasty STI’s, it’s the spouses right to know where the marriage stands.

@choco-latte I didn't say anything about the ethics of the cheating spouse, although I have certainly known people who cheated for a very good reason -- they were in a failed marriage with children, but the family was sufficiently functional.

Like I said they can be honest and give the other person the right to know where the marriage stand before possibly exposing them to nasty STI’s or allowing their children grow up thinking that strange behavior such as mom or dad’s escapades is normal in a relationship.
