There's something about older women that's different, am I imagining it or do they seem more feminine?

I am leaning towards younger but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t date someone my age or slightly older , I just been having better experiences with younger girls’ lately so that’s why I am leaning towards a younger girl this time around , My ex was 4 years older than me and she ended up leaving me after 20 years of marriage , so that’s another reason I am leaning towards younger 😂

I have never been age conscious, other than obviously avoiding as girl who is not legal. I have dated women 20+ years older than me and 20+ years younger (when i was in my early 50’s.). My Wife is 9 years younger than me.

Generally speaking male 2-5 years older than me. Hubby is 7 years older than me.

10 years older is too much … seems to work for other people. I was never into that.

At the end it’s how us two work together to make the relationship/marriage fun and to keep the spark going through ups and downs of life.
I think many forget what it takes to build a good long lasting relationship.

I have been watching some videos about this very subject.

It seems like more men are looking at older women to date and have successful love relationships with.

And I would have to agree with you that they seem to be more feminine and not afraid to be like that either.

There was a time when I was in a relationship with a woman seven (7) years my senior. She was wise regarding life experiences and intimacy was crazy good however, because of the age difference we often times had problems relating/communicating with one another. Probably because we were nearly from two different generations. Of course, like most men I would very much like to be in a relationship with a younger female however, would the same hurdles (only in reverse) be presented? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Most people I'm attracted to are within my own age group, but young girls can be very attractive. It's just that I am not attracted to them, they're still pretty. I would just find it weird to be attracted to girls who are young enough to be my daughter. My fiancée's eldest niece is 17 years younger than me. She's pretty, but it'd be weird for me to date a girl that much younger than I am.

But they often enough turn to feeling and acting ''old''.

It's like walking on the edge of a knife. My own edge is about 10 years wide: mid-40's to end 50's.

Of course there is an allowance for exceptions.

As a teenager, I was attracted to a 23-year-old women. Between November last year and roughly May this (2026) year I was acting as if I were attracted to this teenage (17yo) girl, at least if you ask her. I of course tried to find other explainations for what was going on inside of me and what I actually felt, even talking to a phychologist about everything.

The anxiety was brutal, and I even had some depressive episodes about everything.

Any 30 yr old would have to be a special type of immature to want to date a 20 yr old. Either that or they're a sexual predator in some way or form.

A few old women is only good when you are young , as when women go though menopause you don't want to know most of them , plus there is a lot more early onset menopause in these times , due to horrendous diets of many.

Had a cougar look after me when I was 18 ( she was 27 ) and that was great sexual experience , plus she did everything for me.

But , there comes a time to be a man and take proper responsibility.
