Treating me nicely. There was a girl that started hanging out with my band back in the early `80's and she was not very pretty, she wore really bizarre make-up, had a voice that could peel paint and smoked clove cigarettes! At one show, she was sitting beside me in the audience section while I was putting on my rotten sneakers to get ready to play. I was wearing brown corduroys and as I sat there tying my shoes, she started stroking my left thigh, the one next to her, and started singing a Neil Young song, "The drummer relaxes and waits between shows for his cinnamon girl". I took this as a bit of an invite to be her boyfriend and, at the time, was pretty hard up for one. I think it was right before I got my first one. So, I took her to be my girlfriend and asked her out to a movie and had my arm around her for a good while. A few days later, I walked about 6 miles over to her house one evening in hopes something would spark between us. She was quite nice that evening, even giving me a kind of massage and then mentioned that she already has a boyfriend!! She moved a block or two away a few days later, I helped her and never saw or heard from her again!!
