Is it more important to be deeply loved or truly understood?

Being deeply loved means having someone who genuinely cares about you. They want you in their life, worry about you, support you, miss you, protect what you have together, and stay when things get difficult. There’s something comforting about knowing someone’s heart is truly invested in you.

But love has its weaknesses too. 💔 Someone can love you and still not understand you. They might care deeply but misunderstand your silence, your boundaries, your fears, or the reasons behind the way you behave. You can be loved and still sometimes feel emotionally alone.

Being deeply understood is something completely different. It’s when someone seems to see the person behind your words. They understand your personality, your reactions, your insecurities, your need for space, your sense of humor, and even the things you struggle to explain.

But understanding has its own limitation. Someone can know you extremely well without having the same emotional attachment to you. They can understand your heart without actually wanting to hold it. 🥀

Love says: “You matter to me.”

Understanding says: “I see who you really are.”

And honestly, I think both are beautiful in completely different ways
