Why can’t custody conflicts be resolved peacefully before tragedy strikes?

"When people lose everything, they lose it". This is so true. What a tragic outcome. In summary: after 4 years of marriage and a child, she divorced him. For unknown reasons, she lost in court and was to hand over the daughter.

That distress was too much... she shot the girl and herself. I understand there was a "step father" at home that was not harmed.

I know of a woman that committed suicide, some time after losing custody and being cut off from her kids. She was an addict and don't know the depth of the underlying issues. But losing all you know, is a hard transition in depths of despair. Another family tragedy.

When you date, do you also take up communication and conflict resolution education?

I cannot imagine being shot by my mother...
