Yes, and I think one of the biggest mistakes you can make is trying to become someone else just to be loved by another person. There is a difference between growing because someone inspires you to become better and changing your entire personality because you're afraid they might leave.


I believe love should encourage growth, not make you feel like who you are is never enough. I'm willing to work on my flaws, improve my communication, and learn how to love someone better, but I wouldn't want to lose myself in the process.


Because at the end of the day, if someone can only love you when you become the person they want, you have to ask yourself whether they truly love you or simply love the version of you they've created in their mind. ❤️

No. Usually I learn something cool from them, which adds to my creative/productive skills. But my fundamental CHARACTER won't change. I like who I am. ;)

I don't know if it's confidence specifically. Just I know who I am and what I can/can't reasonably do. I like to learn new stuff if I can. As far as the character goes... possibly more stubborn adherence to how I was raised, lol.

Only once when i was younger. I'm glad it didn't work.

How so? It was good in the sense that i tried to become a better version of myself. It was bad in tbe sense that i hated myself everyday not realizing i would never be good enough for her. But i was too wrapped up in that to see how poorly matched we were. What a trainwreck she was. And i don't say that out of any kind of spite. I say it because it's true. I actually wish her nothing but the best. I just thank god in hindsight that she rejected me. Because i'm a loyal person and i wouldn't give up on her but she gave up on herself a long time ago. She would have dragged me down with her. I was not a very good judge of character in my youth.

It was. Though it was brutal at the time i'm a much better man for it today because of it.

Yes and I did. Changing oneself requires three things. A willingness to see it through no matter what, knowing what to change, and finally outside help such as spiritual or professional

I did when I was young, naive and stupid but luckily I learned from my mistakes. Just being myself now and who doesn't like it can move on.
