Yes, but if you’re a man trying to report a woman, you can fairly expect to be scoffed at. You might even be threatened with arrest for filing a false report. Almost universally, people still refuse to admit that women do bad things. You can offer hard evidence, only to become part of the investigation because even when presented with undeniable proof, people are quick to assume that some man MADE a woman commit her crimes.
There was a woman who ran a daycare, i think it was in Oregon. There were some complaints and an investigation showed that the woman had been sexually abusing the kids in her care. She also employed her teenage grandson. Cops arrested him first, despite absolutely no victims naming or describing him. When they couldn’t pin the crimes on the boy, they finally arrested the woman but they kept the boy in custody as an accomplice. Despite absolutely NO evidence connecting him to the crimes whatsoever. Finally the woman admitted to her crimes in order to secure leniency, and in doing so she cleared her grandson of any wrongdoing. Before the judge dismissed the charges against the boy he admonished the kid for not protecting the kids from his own grandmother. A completely innocent teenage boy barely escaped being held criminally responsible for the sexual abuse of children because NOBODY wanted to admit that a woman would do such things.
And THAT is your “male privilege” hard at work, chap. Cheers!
It depends what they did. If they attack the guy that was sending me death threats, I would prefer being jailed to reporting them to police, but if they abuse a 3 year old child or rob an elderly person, I will report them to the police and break up with them.
Report? Yes. But if you are married, you will be severely limited in testifying against your spouse.
The government cannot compel you to give testimony against a spouse. That in no way prevents you from throwing a criminal under the bus if you want to. If you live in the US.
Of course you can. If you want to do it, is another question.
Yes, I can report my partner if they're doing something illegal. Being in a relationship or marriage doesn't mean I should cover up a crime. Love shouldn't make anyone an accomplice to wrongdoing.
Yes but why would you?
I mean, you CAN, but that's fucked up
yes... lol
