Four Months Dating. No "title"?

Hello! So this guy and I met online and we've been seeing each other every weekend for 4 months, exclusive since we met (there was never a questions from me. He told me he was only seeing me).

I've met a couple of his friends, he's met mine and some of my family. We have (amazing) sex. We keep in contact during the week and basically just like being around each other. Sometimes we'll have all-day-in-bed-and-do-nothing-but-watch-bad-tv days, other time we'll go out and have a drink or dinner or whatever.

He's only ever introduced me as his "friend" or his "date." I'm wondering, is there some kind of sign or event or something where we go from just casual dating to boyfriend/girlfriend status?

He's really romantic with me, he shows he cares a lot (remembers little things, always cares for me, makes sure I'm comfortable and feeling good). We have the same kind of humor and have a lot of things in common in terms of life philosophies and whatnot. We just generally like having light, fun times. I'm really into him and I can definitely see myself falling in love with him. What do you guys think? Will he ask me to be his girlfriend or is it just that we ARE and it's just so new that he doesn't want to put a label on it (we chicks are so obsessed with labels, it's disgusting. LOL)

You should just find a good time and ask him what you two are (boyfriend and girlfriend?). You can explain to him that you enjoy being with him but you want to make sure you're on the same page. You're right to be confused. But with guys, if it looks like a relationship and quacks like a relationship it isn't necessarily an exclusive relationship.

I'm a highly sexual person. If I like someone, I can have sex with them without expecting a relationship out of it. Not saying I'm a slutwhore, but I've been able to do this in the past. Now, with him it's different because I'm reaaaaaaally into him. He hasn't given me reason to think he's "using" me.

well I'm not gonna judge u, but a lot of guys don't respond well to it. if that's what you like then that's cool, but if you are really into a guy its better to wait until your sure because you could get hurt. I know plenty of guys who won't take a girl seriously if she has sex with him..even tho he had sex with her too

You do have a point. But I personally don't treat sex as an item for barter (i.e. I give you sex if you give me a relationship). I think sex is a wonderful way to connect with a person you enjoy the company of; granted, it should be consensual and safe, but I don't think it should be taken as something to barter with. Men like to feel wanted, and one of those ways is to have sex with them. Not too early, of course, but withholding sex is just as bad as having sex too early (in my opinion).

i guess it depends on what the guy is thinking. I just know some that don't always have sex to connect, they do it but don't have the emotions in it so they still might judge
