We like each other but we live too far away :(

Me and my best guy friend have been close friends for about 2 years now. We like each other as more then friends but he won't take it farther cause we live in different states. I live in PA and he recently moved to NY. I wish every day and every night that we can be together some how. He's my best friend and so much more. However another guy has come in the picture. Another friend has recently told me he like me and thinks I'm beautiful. I'm starting to like him but I don't want to. Since I'm so close to my guy friend I asked him what I should do. He said to give it a chance. I'm literally on the verge of crying cause I want my best friend. The other guy is great and he's so nice but he's not the other guy... Please help me. Please. All comments are GREATLY appreciated

I was in a position similar to this one once. It can really hurt when you like someone so much and it's just not possible to be with them. But distance can strain relationships. Maybe it's best that you two remain friends for now some times turning a great friendship into something more can complicate things. It's not the end of the world. And who knows what the future holds. You two could end up together in the end you never know. In the mean time, date and enjoy life and maintain that wonderful friendship you have with each other .Don't put your life on pause though. If it's meant to be it will happen.
