Me and my boyfriend are gonna be in a long distance relationship soon… but I believe that long distance relations won’t work. What should I do?

We’ve been together for 4 years and living together. Now, he is moving to Boston for his grad school and I’ll be in LA. I don’t wanna break-up with him…don’t know how can I live without seeing and touching him… I feel like he doesn’t care like me or maybe he is just hiding his feelings but I feel terrible. His education will last a year but he may be can not back to LA… I wish there was a way…

girl, it's just one year. face time/zoom every other day or make a schedule since he is going to study. if he really loves you, you will feel it. it is for his education. you have been together for 4 years. that should've made your relationship and getting to know each other better. ldr work for couples who are willing to work on their relationship. focus on yourself as well. if your boyfriend is going to continue his studies, good for him and for you. he is goal oriented. you should do something so you don't have extra time to worry. have a new hobby, etc.

don't let distance destroy your 4 years relationship. especially if both of you have a wonderful relationship. you guys can also visit each other every month or every 2months. don't believe when people say ldr don't work. it will work, it just depends on the couple.

i've known ldr couples who made it work. just trust your partner and don't nag him. just remind him that he has to contact you and have conversations with you because it would be difficult not seeing him much.

Thank you for your answer I feel better :) I will do my best to maintain a long distance with him, but he is a very social person, the problems that may arise have already begun to worry me :/ I hope to be in the same place with him in 1 year….

Even if he is sociable, he will definitely miss you.
When a man loves you, he will not forget you no matter how busy he is.
My boyfriend is a busy man. But he makes sure he has time for me. Even before when we were in LDR, he sends me packages, letters. 80% of the time he is the one who sends messages first and calls/videocalls me. Before I could do it, he does it already. ^^ Good communication, much patience and trust are the keys to LDR relationship. He might not appreciate it if you doubt on him. Just let him know that you trust him and he is doing great for wanting to study again. ^^,
Just be supportive of him and don't smother him. I promise you, he will miss you and contact you.

Oh you are so lucky I hope I get some packages too😅 He is getting the hardest master’s degree to study so there won't always be time for me but If he really loves me and I believe he is, even though we are far away, he will make room for me in his life. I’m an introverted but I’ll try to be more social and do whatever I like… otherwise I may fall into depression. thank you for your helpful advices again :)

I couldn't be with someone extroverted because I feel exhausted with extroverts. I only have one extrovert friend :)) Good for you that you get along with your extroverted boyfriend! <3
Yes, of course he does love you! <3 He won't have much time to socialize since he has a hard master's to study. He has to have laser focus ^^ so I think no need to worry much. You can send him some packages like every month ^^ like food, etc. For example if he has a hard test coming up, might as well order something online and have it delivered to his address with a note that says,"Good luck with your exams! You can do it! Love, (your name)" Food was something I thought of since everyone likes food. lol

try watching some Chinese, Japanese, Thai or Korean dramas. Girl, they're gooooood! <3 people get hooked with those type of dramas. I watch at home when I'm not outside. I also give advices here :)) that's why I am posting here.

thank you for your good advices:) yes sometimes I feel exhausted too. he probably makes a lot of friends and finds something to distract himself but I have to put a lot of effort to do this :/ sending some packages is a good idea but he doesn’t like much attention so I wouldn’t send him anything 😅

Or you just want him and don’t need him if you needed him your lungs 🫁 would stop working if he left you.

Well if he is the one then you got nothing to worry about. But one thing I will say is Long distance Relationships make it easier To be mean to each other.
Also Don’t talk on the phone long know what angers him what offends him because If he has doubts about the relationship that’s when things Take a Turn for the worst. As they say what you believe Creates the problems in your life.

At a subconscious level The subconscious will start up trouble which by that I mean the subconscious will make a path and will make sure things bother you more which will cause more arguments and stuff that’s why if you believe You cannot Build muscle or you don’t believe you can Walk an hour to somewhere then you literally won’t be able to unless you disregard those feelings and try to feel and believe something else that creates the path where you can follow doing that 1 hour walk.

Stay strong, stay loyal and always face time with him. Tell him how much you miss him and that you'll be happy once he's back. Ask him if he can come visit you when he has school vacations and don't betray his trust. Don't be like many of those girls who cheat on their boyfriend the moment he's gone for a little too long.

I don't even think about cheating on him, that’s not gonna happen. I can do face time with him everyday, I never relpy late or do whatever he wants. However, I think he will not save as much effort as me, he is getting the hardest master's degree to study so he’ll probably always say I don’t have time etc. Anyway, I hope it works.

Come on. Long distance is the best way to know how hard you both trust and love eachother. We're temporarily long distance and it's been an year. But I travel to her city once in three months.

You'll soon get used to it. It's all about loyalty, trust and love.

I'm so used to being with him so it’s a really tough time for me. I'll see how much he means to me but I’m so afraid of being disappointed. He won't have time to visit me because it's a very intense program… I hope you're right and we can find a way to maintain our relationship :)
