GUYS!!! How do you feel if you're angry at your girlfriend then she cries during the argument?

Okay, so I was being so nosey today at the movie lol this couple was having an intense, heated argument and mwa, finishing my nuggets and fries before I went in, kinda sorta found it entertaining like I had front row seats to a soap opera. The guy was yelling and shouting, clearly very angry and aggressive, getting out his feelings. You'd expect the girl to respond with anger as well, but she replied with sadness that seemed really sincere. I think it caught him off guard. She calmly expressed her feelings with the most pitiful facial expression. Then this interesting look of painful rage came over her. It was so interesting to watch. It was like here genuine pain shocked him and in a way maybe humbled him and just made him feel bad. At one point, the girl just started crying, but not dramatically bursting out in tears, just tears rolling down her cheeks while she spoke. Usually in a fight, the other person reacts with anger, people don't often just show that they are really feeling hurt. She sat there and let him speak, listening intently, then expressed herself in such a raw, real way that it was like I don't know he seemed like he couldn't even be so mad at her anymore.

What's your opinion on this? Guys, how would you have felt in that situation? Can you give me some insight into how the guy may have felt watching his girlfriend so upset?

well I'm different..and I witnessed different things, I'm not the explosive angry type, Nor am I the implosive type.

I'm usually calm because I lack the vision to get riled up with emotions in a situation while emotions only further complicated things. That's just my opinion. I do get mad/upset, but I keep a lid on my mouth 70 percent of the time. IF the person says insulting things towards then I will eventually try to walk away.

Most times with my past Ex's girlfriends when we got into arguments, they got more upset because I never got angry during the fight, so they would pry and try to strike a nerve hoping it will push my buttons, when I do snapback, some cry, some get more upset while others just remain quiet. I try to avoid that because I know its hurtful and no one wants to feel that.

I know what you mean, but the problem is that a lot of women use tears as weapons of mass manipulation :/

Agreeeeed. But I think that in your example, when someone that you care about suddenly shows so much vulnerability when you aren't used to it, it can be very overwhelming and set aside any anger or whatever you may have had. It's kind of an awakening of sorts.

I agree because I know if my sister or mother or someone I cared about showed that kinda pain during an argument, I'd feel so bad that I wouldn't even be able to shout at them and possibly make them feel worse

Yup, exactly. I've seen both my parents cry once each, and it literally ripped my heart apart. When you see someone kinda bare their soul, it's confronting :)

I've never seen a music video where the artist is just simply raw and real liek that.

I couldn't believe how raw she was in her video though. Music artists don't usually do that

This is true. But sometimes they do it just for the drama, you know? I don't really look at the clips, I prefer just listening to the track. And there are some songs where the artists just go all out, and it's amazing.
