Just found out the guy I've been seeing has a girlfriend :'(

We've been emotionally and romantically involved for several weeks now. We kiss and act like a couple and I've been waiting to make it official. He came over last night and things happened... I then noticed his cell phone wallpaper of some girl when it vibrated, so I asked him who it was and he confessed to me that it was his girlfriend. I started shaking so much, I couldn't help but start crying and he layed down with me and started talking for 10 minutes telling me how sorry he was and that he had really fallen for me and couldn't control his feelings for me and I could tell he felt horrible. I feel horrible not knowing about this, I fell for him so hard. I don't know if their relationship is rocky or whatever, all I know is that he cheated on her with me. Please, I need advice on what to do, or if any of you have any personal experience. I have never cried so much over a guy. Thanks everyone

I know it hurts :( but wouldn't you rather find this out early on rather than really get attached and find out he's such a dog later? Would you really want the type of guy who strings along another girl while he has a girlfriend?! he's a cheater! Can you honestly say that you want a cheater who's going to selfishly put his own feelings before his girlfriend? I don't think so.

Not only that, but the only reason he confessed is because you saw the picture! How long would he have gone without telling you had you never seen that picture?

What to do? Kick his ass out of your life. You would be extremely foolish if you don't and if you choose to be the sidline ho, then you're going to feel like an idiot down the line. Guys like that don't change until a girl does the same thing to them or they get older and realize how lonely and unloved their selfishness has made them so they better ship up if they don't want to die a lonely, old man who doesn't know what true love is about.

Well I wouldn't go back to him unless he changes his behavior. But you'll eventually get over it. It might take a few months but you will... just try your best not to think about him and stay away from him. he just seems like a douche. There are so many other men out there and good luck with that.

Just keep your chin up and think of the positive things you've done and will do in your life. People shouldn't get in anybodys way unless they really care about you and you really care about them. :)

I know its not much consolation but at least you didn't know him for that long... better to know him for several weeks instead of several months or years.

I've known him almost a year but I liked him way before we got involved, but yes thank you

It certainly isn't an auspicious start for a relationship. My personal suggestion would be to move on and not look back. However, I understand how difficult that can be so rather than just telling you to forget about him I'll offer a few questions to think about.

Can you trust him? I mean really trust him. Not just over look it and hope for the best. If you stay with him and it turns into a relationship, are you going to be able to move on or is it going to nag at you? Is it going to come up in every fight?

I'm not so sure at this point, If he cheated on his girlfriend he could be capable of cheating on me :p I'm going to avoid him for a bit and get myself together
