My girlfriend said she needs to be alone for a while. Will she want to make up?

I've had a wonderful relationship for 6 months with a girl a care deeply about. After the 6 month mark, she told me that she felt that she needed to be alone, because she felt like she couldn't be completely involved in the relationship. She told me that she cared for me and she was attracted by me but needed some time alone to figure things out. I honored her decision, we didn't talk for a while, than she told me that she doesn't consider the break up to be definitive, and that maybe one day when she would have thought things through she will try to convince me to make up and try again. Before me, she had a 4 year relationship, and I think she want ready yet for another one when we started dating. Is it possible that she will want to try again in the future?

It sounds like she is in a place where she doesn't know what she wants. Absence makes the heart grow fonder. She knws hw you feel she knws you are wanting the relationship. If I was you I would let her knw the line of communication is open however get on with your life. And aren't waitning for her to make her mind up Get in shape, get a haircut and ensure you look sharp! Don't contact her for about 3wks and give her a text ask hjer how she is and meet for a catch up, if she agrees make sure you look fabulous, keep it light don't ask how she feels or ask her out! Just keep it light and leave before her. If she loves you or wants to be with you she will sure let you know! If she doesn't you will just have to try your hardest to move on! I am goong through similar right now, my boyfriend /exBF is all over the place and I dnt knw what the hell is going on so I am just giving him his space, making sure I look fantastic getting into shape and letting him contact me. Moving on with your life is probably your best option, you can keep an open mind regarding your ex, but at the moment it you, you have to concentrate on. Try to be happy single, and enjoy your life, if at some point he will try to make up with you and you will feel the same, then fine. If not, then you would have already moved on, either way its important that you are happy.

Clearly, she is conflicted and doesn't know what she wants. I don't think she is at the time and place for a relationship at this point. It sucks that she came to the realization after 6 months of dating you. I really wouldn't hope on her decision, it could take her anywhere from months to years, "to get her mind straight.". Do you really want to stick around and wait for someone, who might not even come back to you? I know she is reassuring you, but the fact of the matter is no one can tell the future. I really think you should keep your options open while she is figuring things out.

Well, it is possible, indeed. But you may also remember that in life we're constantly changing, meeting new people...

I said almost the same thing to my ex-boyfriend. We didn't made up again, but I think of him sometimes, and have felt regret a few times. Though, I don't know what future will bring.

Respect her space for now. In a close-medium future, if you still care about her, try maybe a new approach!

Anything is possible but you'd be a big fool to take her back if she's out with other guys. I personally have & would cut her out permanently. You do realize she's now making you an option & if your OK with waiting around for something like that then go for it. And she will do it again because now she knows she can go "be alone" & you'll be there when she gets back.
