Is being called hun a good pet name or a friendzone warning ?

So I've been texting this girl only a day but it came for sleep time and we said our good nights. She said 'na night hun' for those non uk readers the na night part is common or at least up here in the north it is. Is this a good pet name type thing or a your going in the friend-zone warning ?

Just to clarify abit, this girl likes me which is how I got her number, my questioning is with hun being a friendly name in general should I take it as a good sing with her liking me or as a friend-zone warning.

i call a lot of people 'hun/sweetie/dear/darling' like when I actually speak with them, however I usually reserve those names for my girlfriends, like when texting, but I never call a guy those names thro text unless I like him and I know for sure the feeling is mutual, if that mkaes sense... hope that helps :)

Hun seems like a friend zone pet name. Some girls call everyone hun.

I wouldn't cut your losses yet though. See where things go and keep talking to her.

Depending on the woman, it may mean nothing at all. I've come across plenty of women who always address guys as "hun", "sweetie", or "dear". Just the way they are, doesn't mean anything to them.
