Is it weird for a girlfriend to call their boyfriend hun?

my boyfriend calls me hun, babe, baby girl, and things like that, mostly its through a text. most often he says either hun or babe. is it weird for me to call him hun when I'm texting him? because its something he's always called me, so I don't know if it would be weird if I called him that. and do guys think of that as more of a pet name for a girl. I've never really been one to use pet names, but he uses them so often I feel a little guilty that I never do. I just don't know what word to use when I want to call him by some affectionate name. help?

Oh, by the way, I dated this one chick, and her pet name for me was "Bear" which I thought was cute. Afterwards, I found out that she used the same Pet name for her previous 2 boyfriends as well. not so cute ^^
