Girls don't mention their relationship status?

How come girls don't mention in passing whether they have boyfriends or not to me? Eg. I met a girl, I sat next to her, and another new male acquaintance of hers greeted her and said last time they met they had a discussion about her boyfriend. And I was like, "Oh wow she has a boyfriend." But then I'm curious why would a guy have a whole discussion about another girl's bf? Do girls steer their conversations towards their boyfriends when they meet guys they are not interested? That said, it's happening to me on a regular basis - am I just not discreet enough to make a point of finding out? Or is it a good sign that I'm not getting this "taken" vibe from them?

There are two types of women.

1. Investors: ones that date one man and try and "fix" him and then when she succeeds she finds out she's no longer attracted to him. (and he becomes boring.)

2. Testers. These are probably the ones that are doing the thing you speak of.

They typically have orbiters (guys that are just friends who she's leading on, but as soon as they try and make a move she's "creeped out") And these poor sclubs have been "secretly" in love with her for probably years.



They date multiple men at the same time and 80% of them pretend to be investors. (meaning they don't tell the other men that they are dating more than one man)

These women are also typically with tattoos, and strippers are most likely to be testers.

Now to answer your questions.

IT depends on the type of woman. If she's a tester she's most likely steering the conversation towards the boyfriend to "let you know" that she is seeing another guy. It might be her tactic of also screening out men to see if they puss out when the guy first hears about a boyfriend.

I can't count how many times I've pointed out to a woman exactly what she's doing, she admits it and then I leave and end my relationship with her.

If she's an investor however, she's in fact doing just that, she's telling you she has a boyfriend to get rid of you nicely.

Usually she won't stick around much, will have short conversations and want to leave you asap. (in other words if she's sticking around STILL talking to you she's probably a tester.)

Ok I see what you are saying - some women mention their bfs to get rid of you nicely; others mention their bfs to filter out the weak-minded (since they already maintain enough suiters).

But if girls are not mentioning their relationship status to me, am I not even considered a potential date? Or is this a positive?

it depends.

If they are testers they most LIKELY won't even tell you (80% wont). All it means is that she's simply the type that doesn't like divulging that information out to men.

What you're really asking is "does she like me?"

there are tons of different signs, if you want to know, look for multiple signs. Not just one.

They usually come in bunches.

OR

you can just assume she does., James bond never asks himself "does she like me?" he just assumes she does.

If she's flirting with you outright then she's obviously a tester.

Unfortuantly this also means ANY nervousness, shyness etc. will kill your chances.

IF she was an investor, those types of things don't matter "as much".

They typically put up with that (after all they FIX men)

It's simple...they want to keep the guys guessing about it, they may be in a rel'tshp may be not you never know,...on the contrary, some single girls mention their relationship status as "In a relationship" just to avoid being hounded by guys all the time...

They might not think of you as a guy who is trying to get to that level with them. If a girl sees unwanted attention coming her way and she has a guy, the first think she tends to mention is the guy. If a girl is welcoming your attention as a friend and has a boyfriend, she may get around to mentioning it, but doesn't see you as challenging his status in any way.

You should try to find out as soon as possible or you might end up (1) with a ton of unavailable female friends or (2) wasting the evening on one girl who is unavailable when an available girl is left to cool her heels.

If you want to know if she has a boyfriend ask. I think it's good that she's just open to talk to you and not just assume your there for one thing =/ lol!
