I love my girlfriend so much I cry

Ok so I've been dating my girlfriend for 2 months now :) we broke up a few months ago after a few weeks of dating but we got back together and its great. Anyways whenever I look at a picture of her and think about how much I love her I can't stop smiling and often times start to cry tears of joy. I'm not usually a very sensitive person like this so I think its kind of weird but its also amazing. Were both 16 and she's my first TRUE love <3 id just like to know is this normal or do we have something special?

This is rare. Take good care of it. Through yourself into it. Don't worry about any possible hurt that MIGHT come from it later. Don't let fear decide your fate. And don't doubt your relationship just because its your first love. You never know what the future holds. And neither does anyone else. That includes the people saying "this won't be your last". My boyfriend is my first love, and yes things have gotten harder I guess. But the things we may argue about are meaningless to us at the end of the day. It's been over a year and a half and we still can't seem to get tired of each other. We still turn each other on with just our smiles. Relationships aren't easy, I mean its combining two separate lives for goodness sake... But when you get something that feels this good, recognize how lucky you are. And just enjoy it for what it is. I used to get frustrated when people used to tell me that this guy wasn't going to be my last love, but I haven't heard that from anyone in such a long time. Because they've seen us together. They know that what I say about is isn't just me being wishful and corny. It's frighteningly real. And that is what's so special about it.

But also realize that I'm not trying to say she should be everything to you or anything like that. I don't want you to misread me. But live in the moment. If it doesn't work out, you will just have to cross that bridge when/if you get there.

Of course what you share is special here's the thing she's your first love. You only get ,2more after her, but if your one of the luck ones maybe not. But what's special about this is, you'll never forget her..ever. :-)..and what ever happens between you and her will shape your behavior for future women and same goes for her. weve officialy dated for more like 3 months and knew we both liked eachother and were pretty much dating but without a label for a year. I'm just mentioning how long we've been together as of right now. So id say that's long enough to figure out whether I love her or not. and I've been infatuated many times before. this feels much different, much deeper. I could care less about how she looks whether she's as stunning as she currently is or overweight or whatever, I would love her the same.

I rarely show emotion so this is weird for me and feel like if he saw me tearing up he'd back away because he'd think i'm too obsessed with him or something. At your age it is somewhat normal but NEVER rely your happiness upon ANY relationship. If things do not work out be happy with what you have and no one defines your happiness unless you let it. Best of luck and like anon girl said always be respectful and always respect yourself and this relationship will always be special regardless of how long it lasts.

to add to this anon guy, while it may not be "normal" for adults, it's still acceptable to cry tears of joy in reflection of a relationship. Really, there's nothing wrong with it. In fact, expressing emotions, especially POSITIVE ones is quite healthy. Just don't become obsessive or attached at how amazing the relationship is.

LoL, I think how you feel about her is quiet cute :) but you're both 16, and truth is, most 16 year olds in my highschool didn't end up with their date after a couple months. But I can't be the judge of that. Just get to know one another more. Again, I can't speak for that, but I feel like 2 months is too short to be in love with someone. People date one another for years until they discover what love feels like. Don't rush too quick. Spare the time and get to know one another.

Also--and this is a lesson I suspect you're going to learn the hard way--you do NOT do yourself, your girlfriend or your relationship any favors if you can't control your "I love her so much I cry" behavior. I hope for your sake you haven't already made this obvious to her. It will NOT make her more attracted to you and likely will make her less attracted.

The first month of love are magical. You feel like you want to explode. You can't get enough of each other, but later things gonna get hard. Out of the tough times your will get on each others nerves and see if this is your "true" love or not. :)

by the way. It's normal. :) it has nothing to do with age. It has something to do with honeymoon phase :)

Yes the honeymoon phase is the easy lovey dovey part.. That can last for 6 months to a year. For me its about 6 months. then the next 6 months are usually pretty tough because you finally see them as a person and not on a pedestal. You have to deal with a lot more and there will probably be some arguing. But if you can make it through that, the relationship is probably pretty solid.
