Is 35 too old to go out with 18 year old?

Is it too old for 35 year old to go out with someone who is 18? What's the appropriate age in your opinion?

Yes. This is a parent child relationship. Thereisnt anyway either party would see it any different. The older can always manipulate the younger based on age and experience only and the younger will always need the older or resent him for treating them like a child. Besides not only are there no common interests but an 18 year old is just learning their own body so how do you think they will know ours. I'm a cougr and like younger men but would never have sex with let alone date an 18 year old at 35 or 44. That wreaks of immaturity to me. Now, for me at 44 maybe they youngest Id consider would be 30-34. Note, I had two year long relationships one with a 23 year old when I was 35 and another with a 27 year old when I was 39. The sex was awesome but the guys were imature, broke and I was the head of household. I never felt taken care of only sexually satisfied. And I think it looks toally perverted to see 35/40 year old man with an 18 year old, creepy...if theyd do an 18 year old believe me they do a 16 year old.

I’m genuinely curious about your relationship with that age gap because I have a best friend who is 18 and he’s 35 too and they both have a lot in common and share the same artistic abilities and they have such a connection from what it seems when I’ve hung out with them. And my best friend by the way is super mature and does not look 18. AND more importantly he looks seriously 25. So I kind of support it. But I’m genuinely curious how well ur relationship is going just because I’d hope my best friend isn’t going to run into too many problems over this. Well, considering the 18 year old is practically an adult, I don't think there's that big of a problem age-wise. But experience-wise and maturity-wise, there's a huge gap...

And just who sets the rules as to whether it is appropriate? There is no appropriate age. If a woman of 35 does not want to date a man over 38, then for her, that age difference is inappropriate. But if a woman of 20 wants to date a guy of 40, and he wants to date her, who has a right to say it is wrong. He may be in it for the young sex and she for his money, but that can happen if they are both the same age. Whatever works for them.

It is in MHO. If it were me dating the 18 year old, it would feel like he's my son or something. I like men, not boys. As long as she is over 18 then do your thing I guess, but most age gaps like that do not turn out to be very serious as they are in very different parts if their lives age wise and mentally.

Just because it's legal doesn't mean it's not freaking creepy. An 18-year-old may be an adult on paper but is still childlike. A 35-year-old is practically middle aged. I would say that nobody over 22 should date an 18-year-old.

It's not too old, but when you're twice someone's age, it makes it harder to connect with each other due to differences in life experiences, expectations, and probably maturity.

Actually a proper age mutch in start up is boy/2 + 7. So if you are 36 your girl should be 25. The min limit is boy/2 and the max limit is boy+7.
Mean if you are 36, you can marry min18 recommended 25 and max 43.

The age difference IMO will definitely cause some issues with relating to each other. They're at different states of life. Maybe casual sex or FWB but not much beyond that.

How's that legally wrong? Most countries in the world set their age of consent at 18 or less, to my best knowledge less than 10 countries in the world require sexual partners to be 19 or more. 18 is enough to get married even, not to mention dating.
