This Mytake is primarily for Christians and it isn't to shame My fellow Christians, but rather to exposed what I have witness during My time as a Christian and overall in the Christian Church and it's parishioners.
C'Mon Man.
I love My fellow Christians, because it's a great bonding feeling having Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of us to inherit enternal life through him. However, I have qualms with many of My fellow Christians in a sense that they are just so rigid and uptight about living life, which makes Christianity look legalistic which is far from. I'm not saying or advocating that they should engage in immorality, far from it. But Christianity isn't a legalistic prison.
So many Christians have a prison like mentally where they feel guilty for enjoying what regular decent human beings should enjoy about life in particularliy sex. Lossen up about sex already. And worse yet they will shame other Christians who don't hold their particular view, without providing any Bible verse to support their argument. And to me that's wrong!
Feeling Ashamed.
I have notice throughout My time as a Christian, that many Christians suffer from guilt and shame of the their past lives they lived prior to becoming Christians. They feel like they don't measure up to other Christians that have been a Christian for a while. NEW FLASH: You are not saved by works. No one deserves heaven. Enternal life in Christ Jesus is a gift. Does that mean we should live a immoral lifestyle? Of course not. We should be good people as Christians and obey God's word.
Ephesians 2:8-9:
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
So quit with the guilt and shame and embrace Christ's love for you.
Romans 8:1:
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.
I Have Zero Idea What The Bible Actually Says.
What I really have noticed is how depressingly ignorant many Christians are of their own religion. They have no idea what the founder of Christianity even taught. This leads to many of them making up sins that are not even mentioned in the Bible, twisting Bible scriptures out of context, getting ripped off by preachers who teach tithing; When tithing has nothing to do with money. Adding to God's word and going beyond what is writtin. When God is clear not to mess around with his word.
Proverbs 30:5-6: Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.
1 Corinthians 4:6:
Now these things, brethren, I have figuratively transferred to myself and Apollos for your sakes, that you may learn in us not to think beyond what is written, that none of you may be puffed up on behalf of one against the other.
Free To Enjoy Life.
2 Corinthians 3:17-18:
Now that the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
Like I said in my earlier stanza, don't be rigid. Have tons of fun, eat what you desire and don't let anyone make you feel guilty for it. Enjoy your sex life with your husband or wife the way you desire and don't feel guilty about it one bit.
Titus 1:15:
To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.
Ecclesiastes 9:9
Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity; for that is your portion in life, and in the labor which you perform under the sun.
Being always a "Goody Two Shoes" will dull your life. Add some spice to your life. ๐
Ecclesiastes 7:16-17
Do not be overly righteous, Nor be overly wise: Why should you destroy yourself? Do not be overly wicked, Nor be foolish; Why should you die before your time?
"However, I have qualms with many of My fellow Christians in a sense that they are just so rigid and uptight about living life, which makes Christianity look legalistic which is far from. I'm not saying or advocating that they should engage in immorality, far from it. But Christianity isn't a legalistic prison."
But what gives you the merit to call Christians "uptight?" Do you tell a person who follows a good diet that they're "uptight" for wanting to stay fit and not get heart disease?
"So many Christians have a prison like mentally where they feel guilty for enjoying what regular decent human beings should enjoy about life in particularliy sex. Lossen up about sex already. And worse yet they will shame other Christians who don't hold their particular view, without providing any Bible verse to support their argument. And to me that's wrong!"
What do you mean by "normal things?" While I do agree that the Protestant version of sexuality is harmful, Catholicism teaches that sex is a wonderful thing that God made to show true love to your partner. But, if were talking about strictly biblical teaching, having pre-marital sex is a direct violation of Christian teaching (it can also be proven via derived from basic and scientific philosophy).
"Being always a "Goody Two Shoes" will dull your life. Add some spice to your life. "
Who says "Goody Two Shoes" can't enjoy life? I'm tired of this shaming for choosing to follow rules. I get shamed all the time for being a "Goody Two Shoes" for following a strict healthy diet. It takes strength to govern the passions, don't shame those who choose to follow them just because you don't.
In essence, your post OP dictates that Christians are "uptight" which goes against many of the verses you posted. While I understand you may have had good intention here, you're Theology needs work and you need to stop being aggressive towards others.
But being so called "hard on ourselves" is what we need to do to achieve that extra push we need. Do we need to relax every once in awhile, sure. But, we should try and achieve that thing that God put us here for. If I may ask, why do think the Catholic Church is heretical? I mean Christ did tell St. Peter to found the Church on his rock.
I agree that we should continue in the fight as Christians. But Mytake was more of not being so legalistic and rigid about life. Such as can't do this can't do that. Have fun without sinning and being wicked it's what I meant in Mytake.
As far the Catholic Church; for one they murdered many Christians for not obeying the Pope's orders and doctrine like He is God or something.
The Catholic Chruch teaches pergortory, when the Bible doesn't teach any of that nonsense.
Catholics call the Pope "Father" when the Lord Jesus Christ clearly commanded not to call anyone on earth Father in a spiritual sense.
The Catholic Chruch teaches that a priest can't get married. The Bible doesn't teach that. Another man made doctrine by the Catholic Church.
Catholics confess sins to priest; sorry but the priest can't forgive sins. Only Jesus has that authority. On and on I can go, but I digress. Get out of that apostate corrupt phony system the Catholic Chruch.
The only thing I can say, is that one should read the bible for themselves. I can't take your word for it, or that of any other pastor or Christian. Churches have split, and groups have argued and fractured over scripture and theology for centuries. It's nothing new under the sun. What you see as someone being uptight, they see as actually adhering to their understanding of God's word, and his instructions towards us.

I think you worded this very badly? You kind of sound like a hypocrite... you say something bad but then back it up with a bible verse it doesn't make sense. I don't believe sex should be done with just anyone and with multiple people so casually. So no I disagree when you said that Christian's should losen up about that. I think being Christian Is wonderful, I know I'm still making baby steps everyday and not tremendously knowlable about the word of god but it feels good and I learn something new. I approach things diffrently and I also see things differently now. I know I'm not perfect nor will I ever be but having faith is what helps me over come my problems. But everybody has different struggle and temptations. Someone might have a sexual temptation while another person might have temptation to drink. They are battling their own battles therefore it will be harder for them to overcome their temptations. The people for are making Christianity seem like a prison and boring are the ones who are doing it wrong because it shouldn't feel like that. Maybe if their new to the word of god then yes I would understand why they might feel like that at first.
What did I say that was bad? And I don't support premarital sex. The lossen about about sex is meant not to think of sex as taboo or strange, but rather embrace your sexuality, since many Christians feel ashamed of their sexuality.
You made it seem like you thought it was ok to have with anyone. I think it's just how your worded things out that makes yourself seem negative. So what you mean is to talk more about sex? Like that's it's a completely normal thing once done with you husband or wife? Is that what you mean?
Not to be contentious, but it sounds like you are throwing a little shame shadow over all of the Christians that aren't quite as "Christian" as you. Am I right or am I missing something?
This may be why I am kind of leery of outwardly religious types. I mean-if Christianity is a religion which is not based on works, then why are there so many Christians that are so proud of themselves?
Like I said, I may be missing something... I am open to listening...
I'm just trying to help some Christians loosen up a bit. Christianity isn't a legalistic religion where you earn your way to heaven. Yes good conduct matters in our religion. Christ said to love others as we love ourselves, but salvation is by grace through faith. As far why are some Christians are being proud and haughty, I can tell you that is wrong and sinful to be arrogant.
While both license and legalism are issues in the Christian church... As your question on sex before marriage and Christians demonstrated... More folks err on the side of license than legalism. Probably half that identified as Christians thought there was no problem with premarital sex.
But I'd like to hear specifics from you. How are Christians too legalistic on sex? Previously, you've argued that if a single person looks upon another single person it's OK, while I've contended that it could become a slippery slope. I'm sure I enjoyed the form of my wife previous to marriage, thus I married her, but I 'm sure I went overboard more than once, too. Still, I don't see a lot of folks being overly legalistic in regards to sex.
In my opinion, Christianity is not about being perfect, it's about trying your best, genuinely.
If you're too scared of failure to even try, you totally missed the point. Go fail over and over and over again, like Michael Jordan said on that one poster. You all know the one.
Dave Mustaine went to rehab like 20 times before he cleaned up. That's a real Christian, right there. Fall down 20 times, get up 21. That's what a Christian's attitude should be, not "I'm a filthy sinner, wah, forgive me! Wah!" I see a lot of self-pity out there and it's not attractive.
My biggest issue with other Christians is how they twist the Scripture. I can hear Christians talk about their favorite verse, and when I research it, it ends up being something completely different than what they believe it to be. You can guess this issue definitely points towards Catholics as well.
Yeah, God's word talks about people that twist scriptures.
2 Peter 3:15-16: And consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand, which untaught and unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures.
Dude, I agree. I've been radically shaken awake supernaturally and can't deny that God is real, but I see so many flaws in the christian society and in christian people its sad and makes me not want to associate with them. I bet this is an issue many many people are experiencing.
You're cherry picking. The Bible is clear that those who repent of their sins and obey God's commandments are the ones that will get into heaven. On judgment day you may regret the way you lived your life.
@Love_Is_Eternal It's a thinking atheist who makes fun of those that still believe in fairy tales. I made fun of the kids in school that believed in Santa Claus.
"Thinking" Athiest. Smh. You believe nothing plus nothing equals everything we see in creation. A brain came about by accident, eyes came about by accident, genitals came about by accident, a tongue, formed it's itself, heart, kidney, lungs, planets, animals, fruits and vegetables was just one random accident after accident. You are indeed good thinker alright.๐
Yes, one belief is supported by evidence the other is supported by an ancient book that retards believe was inspired by a deity. No proof vs. tons of proof.
Macro evolution is not supported by evidence. Micro evolution is true, macro evolution is a hoax. And yes, I do believe the story in Genesis as I believe the Bible has stood the test of time, despite the amount of attacks over the centuries.
@Love_Is_Eternal evolution is supported by a mountain of evidence: DNA, geological, genetic and observable evidence all point to evolution. While the bible is a clear rip off of older religions and a bunch of bed time stories. It wasn't meant to be taken literally, but humans can always surprise me with their stupidity.
You're referring to micro evolution, not macro. The Bible has stood the test of time, whereas macro evolution was invented by a bunch of mad scientists who wanted to brainwash the dumb public into believing they are animals lol.
Great mytake man! I also notice that with many Christians.

Pity? Nah, what you're really doing is judging, which is what Christians do best when it come to anyone who sees or does things differently than they do.
Being judgmental of people who are different from you. Again, it's generally what Christians do. At least in this case you're judging other Christians.
Read your title again. It's clear you have a superiority complex. Very Christian.
Like premerital sex is bad hmm Virgin Mary and Magdalene show the opposite... Many things fro bible makes it more like a fairytail is a thing of two different views or more view onto a same problem
