Why do a lot of Christians hate so much?

I have seen time and time again other Christians go to rallies, comic cons, or online and hate groups of people or things others enjoy. They'll hate anything that doesn't line up with Christian beliefs and damn them to hell for it. Why?

For people who proclaim the word and love of God, for people who always say to treat others how you want to be treated, love your neighbor, love your enemies. They show a lot of hate and spite. I just feel like that's not God wants. If God is love then why don't we show that as Christians. All we show is a bunch of closed minded, unwelcoming, hate filled people. As a Christian it's result embarrassing and horrible. Why hate someone for being gay, or ace, or believing in a diffrent religion, or diffrent politics. Who cares. Were supposed to help people, love people, care for the people around us no matter what they belive in or how they express themselfs cause God does love each and every person. Even if their gay, Trans, non-binary, democrat, republican. Not everything has to even be about politics.

And those people also talk about how important individual freedom is and yet they try to control other people's freedom of belief, freedom of expression, freedom of speech, for not being Christians. It has only shown me there's a lot of non-Christian Christians out there in the world. Hell! I came out as gay, and I'm still Christian.

I just don't understand, it's frustrating and I just wish people would stop hating eachother for having diffrent beliefs or diffrent ways to express themselfs.

first off, i'm sorry you're getting so much hate. people are horrible no matter their religion. i myself am not religious. i see the world differently i guess? but that's catching on and the world is changing. acceptance comes at a price. it shouldn't be that way, but that is how it is for now

True. But it's the ones that hold signs saying you'll go to hell at a comic con, or telling gay people god hates them and they'll go to hell. I've met some that say democrat Christans aren't Christmas. While disapproval and disagreements are perfectly normal. Some of them take it too far.

Because they filter the word of God through their imperfect minds and create their own perception of the word and abide by them, creating a religious mindset, the words of God are specifically against religiousness itself, because religion separates, Christianity is all about your connection with god, people turn that into religion and become religious and separate themselves from the rest creating this toxic behavior.
