The New Earth. Eternal Life. And What Will We Do.

Introduction:

Many wonder if there is a after life and a better hope and expection to look forward to besides this short and extremly cruel existence we experience on earth with pain, illnesses, death, hunger, wars etc some very worse than for others.

Some believe once you die that you just become dust and cease to exist forevermore, others hold that we will reincarnate and perhaps come back to life as a dog or cat or whatever creature; And finally you have those that believe in the after life, where we resurrect and come back to earth and live forevermore.

As a Christian I accept and believe God will give us the gift of eternal life on the new earth which He promised many times in his word.

1 John 2:25:
And this is the promise that He has promised us—eternal life.

Titus 1:2:
In hope of eternal life which God, who cannot lie, promised before time began.

What Is The New Earth like.

Jerusalem will be the capital of a world wide everlasting kingdom where king Jesus will rule his kingdom and government from.

In the new earth there won't be marriages nor sex, addictions, fights, pain, wars, death nor sin of any kind.

It will be a place full and complete perfection, beauty, joy, happiness, wisdom, knowledge, peace, holiness, righteousness and love and service towards God and one another.

2 Peter 3:13: Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

Romans 14:17: For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Revelation 21:1-27:

Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away.

Also there was no more sea.

Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people.

God Himself will be with them and be their God.

And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.

There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.”

Then He who sat on the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”

And He said to me, “Write, for these words are true and faithful.”

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.

I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.

But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death.”

Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”

And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God.

Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.

Also she had a great and high wall with twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: three gates on the east, three gates on the north, three gates on the south, and three gates on the west.

Now the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

And he who talked with me had a gold reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall.

The city is laid out as a square; its length is as great as its breadth.

And he measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand furlongs.

Its length, breadth, and height are equal.

Then he measured its wall: one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.

The construction of its wall was of jasper; and the city was pure gold, like clear glass.

The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all kinds of precious stones: the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald, the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.

The twelve gates were twelve pearls: each individual gate was of one pearl.

And the street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.

But I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it.

The Lamb is its light.

And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there).

And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it.

But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

Revelation 22:1-6:

And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month.

The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.

There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light.

And they shall reign forever and ever.

Jesus speaking:

Luke 12:32:

“Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

Ok. That is just planet earth and describing one city only on earth not to mention the rest of the earth and whole universe which I'm guessing planets and stars can't be counted because there are so many that will take literally eternity to enjoy and explore their beauty since we will be full of knowledge and wisdom.

God will gives us so much blessings and gifts to posses.

Just imagine having millions of planets, stars full of beauty and glory givin to you as your inheritance to posses.

God the Father grants us to be joint heirs with Christ, therefore we also will inherit all things.

Romans 8:16-18:

The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

1 Corinthians 2:9:

But as it is written:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.”

Conclusion:

I hope to see and meet you in the new earth. 😉

Eternal life in Christ is a free gift givin to us to those who accept Christ as Lord and Savior.

You must repent of your sins and be baptized into Christ and obey the gospel.

Acts 2:37-40:

Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”

Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”

And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.”

Ephesians 2:8-10:

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. 😊
