I never said Jesus never existed,

I said quite the opposite, but the mainstream consensus amongst historians is that the fellow did exist, with the main "historcal Jesus" being an apocalyptic prophet. Based on my review of the arguments made to defend his historicity though I think that their conclusion is wrong.
