Four Daily Spiritual Disciplines that Will Change Your Life - A Post for Religious People

If you've heard of the Lord's prayer
There are 4 things I think you can get out of it - if you read my previous My Take on Matthew 25 - you will know that I mean

So the first discipline is to pray for yourself = in my opinion this is by far the hardest thing to pray about - pray for healing from past insults and negative thoughts - pray for cleansing from bad habits or thoughts - pray for discernment that you know know the difference between God's will and human error - pray that you have have a closer relationship with God and may feel HIs presence - eve if it means you have to fast or sacrifice something such as a hobby or past time or relationship - pray that God will show you whatHIs word means by thinking and thinking about it - pray that you will have the strength to accept all the difficult things God wants you to do whether that is completing your degree or working your job or dealing with an obnoxious person without losing your temperature

The second thing is to pray for the needy and helpless around you. Pray for somebody who is mentally ill or somebody who is going through a criss or somebody who is being severely abused or somebody who is depressed or somebody who is suicidal or somebody who has gone through a tragic event or somebody who is mourning a death or caring for a sick husband or wife. Pray for their strength and their cleansing and their peace and their healing and their confidence and their discernment and their kindness and compassion and their peace and confidence and love.

The third thing is to pray for the hell bound. Pray forgiveness and healing and cleansing and renewal and purification over somebody who has wronged you. Pray an angry or anxious person will calm down. Pray a depressed person will find release. Pray a confused person will learn to trust in God. Pray an empty person will find love. Pray a conflicted person will discern their errors. Pray a materialistic person will stop trusting in their wealth or beauty. Pray an abusive person will stop abusing others. Pray a scared person will lose their fear.

The fourth thing is to pray for society. Pray for depressed teenagers. Pray for misguided children. Pray for abused adults in relationships. Pray for lonely seniors. Pray for hunger and famine and poverty and starvation. Pray for crime to end and for those who are afraid or loss or scared or worried to recover. Pray for those who are uneducated and doing drugs to quit their addictions and be productive. Pray for social or economic or corruption problems in society.

Do this in secret and God will bless you and you are pretty much guaranteed to go to heaven if you do this every day.

Last of all bathe in God's presence each day by worshiping Him and feeling His Holiness and Fear and Piety and Justice and Seriousness and greatness and Love.
