What the Bible Says About Forgiving Enemies

The bible says when you forgive your enemies or ignore their offences, God compensates you for the things that were stolen from you.

Like I emailed somebody with a question and they refused to answer, but then God answered my question by coming to me through a dream.

I also had friends who lost their boyfriends or husbands through external influences by others that found new partners a short time later that was better then the person they missed out on, people more attractive or nicer.

And I know unintelligent people who always forgave their enemies and they end up marrying surgeons. I’ve even met mentally challenged people in decades long relationships with good looking millionaires close to their own age and I’ve met people who were forgiving and kind that got accepted to medical school without exceptional grades based on family connections they secured at home.

The bible says, God compensates those who forgive.

Don't be moved by things outside of yourself. Don't be emotionally troubled by the actions of others. Remain loving to yourself and full of love at all times. Don't allow others to bring you out of that space of love.

Christianity shares a lot of its beliefs with stoicism. Stoicism believes you do not have control over outside events or other people, only yourself. You should, therefore, strive to be the best person you can be every minute of every day. You are not being the best person you can be when you knowingly harm another person who is not threatening your safety, or the safety of the ones you love.

Even then, you should not injure the guilty because you want to, but because if you do not, they will harm an innocent.

God does compensate when we forgive, however forgiveness is also important not only for spiritual health but also mental health and personal development as well. If your best friend asks for forgiveness for forgetting to spend time with you due to new love, forgive her and spend time with her. If your toxic ex however wants forgiveness and yet ANOTHER chance to prove he’s changed, don’t give it to him. Forgive him, forget him and move on to someone better

The bible talks about forgiveness, but advocates stoning those who don't fit a particular mold. A lot of conditional love and unconditional hate in that text. It makes me uncomfortable to contemplate.🤨🥃🔥
