The problem with untrained God believing

As a young person, I made the fatal error many fundamentalists make which is that I worshiped God as the creator of physical things instead of worshiping God as the creator of righteous spiritual things, I also made the mistake of believing God created us to express His beauty and physical skill instead of believing that God created us to express his virtue and mercy and I thought God punished us because he loved control, and not because He loved justice and equity.

You can imagine how much cruelty I thought God was capable of when I worshiped a God who possessed these qualities and this is why I take an all religions approach to faith, where the only God I recognize is the character of God, and the beautiful and intelligent and power things that are created have no scale of relevance to me, because I can’t love myself, until I first understand and believe that God loves me, and that God created me to be His child and not his waste basket.

A lot of Christians have false assumptions about God and due to those false beliefs, they fail to understand that God loves them, which causes trauma and disharmony in their lives.

Lots of Christians….. should really read the Bible. Read Revelations 4:11 when you get the chance.
