An African Proverb on YouTube - My Christian recollection

There is an African proverb on YouTube that says, “a beautiful thing is never perfect.” Earlier this year, I came up with a book idea, one of over 200 ideas that I had come up with over a 2 year period and I was sure I could make 8,000,000 from my idea cause it was such a relevant and unique idea, but while writing it, I became disgusted with the large number of flaws in my work and abandoned the project when the draft was around 90% done.

Later I came up with half a dozen new ideas that were less lucrative but had fewer flaws and editing conundrums and I was set on developing those new ideas, until I had a discussion with God through prayer and gut feelings and realized God wanted me to keep my 2 best ideas and totally abandon the others, cause one good book could sell 40 times more copies than an average or decent book.

Based on this, I came to the conclusion that just because I see flaws in my work, does not mean other people will find my writing equally repulsive, sometimes your beauty is heightened to others, when your ugly in your own eyes, because others are more likely to see your good qualities while your more likely to see your own flaws.
