The lie that Holly Wood is telling the youth

Today I was watching the news and four rich, good looking, fit and very intelligent men risked their lives to save a stranger from a burning car knowing it was a risky act and they could die in the process.

One of the guys was very very good looking facially, had a very fit body, made a lot of money in an elite job, had a beautiful and educated wife and his own kids. And I thought, when this man can live the fantasy life of endless wines and vacations and parties, why does he worry so much about a stranger he does not know?

Hollywood says your value and purpose is to be attractive and comfortable, but God says your purpose is to be loving and kind. My secular relatives treated my Chinese cousin like garbage when she was poor and now that she is rich, they idealize her and chase her for friendship.

But a religious person knows, morals and values trump beauty and charm, we must value medicine more than we value dresses or skirts or scallop dinners. I never got a video game console after leaving my old job cause I thought I'd be too busy being religious to spend time on a digital game.

You're either fixated on morals or on indulgences but when you're committed to one, you will not have time for the other.
