I never found any verse in The Quaran that says music is haram. I've spent countless hours googling about this topic and came to realize that as long as it doesn't prevent you from carrying out your duties as a muslim and doesn't make you do anything which is prohibited, there's nothing wrong with it. But I could be wrong you know..

Hi there! Sadly I would like to fix your mistake! you may THINK that dancing and music no matter what, is halal. It is not. A lot of people have a had a lot of arugments But Imam al-Ghazali, reported several hadith and came to the conclusion that music in and of itself is permitted, saying: “All these Ahadith are reported by al-Bukhari and singing and playing are not haram.” He also references a narration from Khidr, wherein a favorable opinion of music is expressed. Unfotunatly there is NO such thing as “Halal” music even though it is people talking about qu’ran, it is still music. So to make my point: Is that Music IS NOT prohibited (niether dancing), BUT if listening to something like: And ustad talk or kadith, Tajwid.. etc, It is fine
I hope This made you understand the main concept’s of being a good, healthy musim
Have a GREAT day
Aamin

Yes sister especially in Ramadan. All music is haram unless done only with the voice. If you’re going to a maher zain concert maybe not 😂

So I guess I’m going to hell then
- Opinion Owner+1 y
Don’t say such a thing. Allah is the most merciful.. repent.
- Asker+1 y
How am I supposed to repent when I haven’t even been to it? This is something I have been wanting to do for a long time. I don’t know if Allah swt will send me to hell for sitting down for two hours watching someone sing.
- Asker+1 y
Doesn’t seem rational to me
- Asker+1 y
I’m not drinking alcohol, not going with men, not going half naked
- Asker+1 y
Just sitting and watching
- +1 y
Lol nobody knows... two sure things... 1 . Non muslims will go to hell (unless they were born and died before islam)...2. Allah is waaaay tooooo merciful and has A LOT of forgiveness... but that dosent mean we make mistakes on purpose... unluckily i just can stop hearing music... i hope i do
- Opinion Owner+1 y
I’m Muslim, i’m not sure about the asker. Just do as you want, I am not a scholar I cannot say anything. I just know that Music is haram. I don’t know what kind of concert you are attending or anything.
- Asker+1 y
@malek123 yes I’m Muslim, alx, horn and raised, but I’m not a hijabi. I dress modestly , but I’m very religious in general. I can’t stop listening to music though
- Asker+1 y
And the artist I wanna see is Ariana Grande. She has such a beautiful voice m’aaaa
- Asker+1 y
I have never committed zina, stole, cheated, or done any of the major sins. Sometimes I backbite, I listen to MUSIC a lot , but I’ve never had a boyfriend or a first kiss & I tend to stay away from men until nikah.
- Asker+1 y
I’m still learning how to pray on time & im attending taraweeh for Ramadan & I’m trying to be consistent with fasting
- +1 y
Islam isn't mailnly about hijab... its first about believing in allah and believing in mohammad PBUH... there are muslim girls who dont wear hijab... they are still muslims... allah may forgive them but may also punish them for not wearing hijab... that dosent mean they will stay at hell forever .. they will be punished then sent to heaven forever... or maybe 100% forgiven
- Asker+1 y
Lol she isn’t , but it’s whatever. I love her music
- Asker+1 y
Inshallah I will wear the hijab, I just need time
- Asker+1 y
This concert is a graduation gift, I don’t plan on attending any other ones
- Asker+1 y
I don’t see where I’m committing a sin here
- Asker+1 y
Yeah, inside I truly believe in Allah swt
- Asker+1 y
But why would Allah punish me for attending a stupid concert? I listen to music anyways and it’s not gonna make me do haram stuff
- Asker+1 y
It’s not gonna make me commit zina
- Asker+1 y
It’s not gonna make me drink alcohol
- Asker+1 y
It’s not gonna make me steal
- Asker+1 y
It won’t make me forget Allah swt
- Opinion Owner+1 y
Yeah but small sins lead to major sins.
- Asker+1 y
No she isn’t lol. She has a boyfriend, she’s not a prostitute 😂 anyways, if I don’t go, I’ll feel like I missed a lot
- Asker+1 y
It’ll kind of make me sad that I missed something that only happens rarely
- Asker+1 y
Apparently music is haram bc it includes dancing with the opposite gender & drinking
- Asker+1 y
Which isn’t my case
- Asker+1 y
And many people have different opinions on it, so it’s hard for me to chose
- Asker+1 y
Oh yeah. Some of her music is ew. But this new album, there isn’t any bad stuff on it so far
- Asker+1 y
Just about being positive & forgetting the bad things
- Asker+1 y
Music , so far , hasn’t led me to commit any major sins. It’s been like more than a decade that I’ve been listening to it
- Asker+1 y
Ok but why is music itself haram
- Asker+1 y
It actually does have to do w dancing
- Asker+1 y
Bc apparently, it leads to lust
- Asker+1 y
I went to go talk to a sheikh once, and he didn’t tell me if it was haram or halal. I think he said it was makrooh (disliked) and he said I should be using my time wisely for Quran and stuff
- +1 y
Do you trust that sheikh? ... makrooh means something like divorcing... its allowed... its just unwanted... if this was true then yes its halal... however... i once heard this hadeeth by mohammad PBUH..."there will come an era which muslims will say music (and otger stuff) are halal... whuch is wrong ) ... im going to check if this hadeeth was true... if yes then 100% music is haram... just wait
- Asker+1 y
He’s a very respected sheikh in my community
- Asker+1 y
But, I did some research and the prophet pbuh himself never said anything about music, but there’s a Hadith talking about alcohol and music
- +1 y
Checked google... the hadeeth is 100% true.. however it says also that tabla for parties and wars is ok... but thats table... however... not all sins are equal to eachother... you would surely go to hell for zinna... but i dont know about music... i really can't give fatwa... im just telling you everything i know... im not sure if its haram or makrooh because mohammad said that... i hope im helpful
- Asker+1 y
No, the prophet didn’t say that, one of the narrators did
- Asker+1 y
Musical instruments are haram, singing isn’t
- Asker+1 y
But it’s so hard to avoid musical instruments
- Asker+1 y
As far as I’m concerned, the daff (drum) is permitted
- Asker+1 y
I don’t know what to do lol I’ve never been this confused
- Asker+1 y
Someone wrote this:
I would recommand you not to listen to Islamic sects such as IslamQA, Islamfatwa and so on, because they have a very strange and unreliable view (because their perscptions on Quranic verses and Hadiths are commonly biased) on Islamic Rules better look up for real Fatwas (remember a Fatwa is not a Binding consens, but an Opinion of a scholar). If the Fatwa can not provide a clear answer except for looking up specific verses you could have done on your own, the self-claimed sheikh, you should dispute his autority and think for yourself. So it is VERY unlikely that someone will be send to hell, for listening to music as Long it doe not encourage you to do forbidden or it affect your Feelings (like causing hate or Depression). - +1 y
Thats what i got now... mohammad said that hadeeth which means music is haraam... was searching why did it become haram and found this out (im sorry its hard for me to translate perfectly)... music leads the heart to stray .. gets you to misunderstand things... and get you unfocused (generally it just misses up with your heart)... is it a HUGE deal? i dont think so... i mean you are not wearing hijab (that is way worse)... however... you are waaaaaaaaaay better than peolple around you... and i know it is hard to even be a muslim there... people judge... you get less liked by people... it just feels different... but a human nowadays lives for about 50 years or something.. let them enjoy it... you are tge winner at the very last

Thank you !

@malek123: We have commandments to live by in Christinity like no adultery, murder, envy, greed, hate, forgiveness, humility, theft etc but we have freefom in Christ to enjoy our lives as along we don't harm ourselves or others.
1 Corinthians 6:12:
All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful.
All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
- +1 y
Cool... but what about drinking.. its very harmful for you and could cause murdering...
What about not covering (for women) they will end up turning guys on... this will raise the raping cases...
What about interests ( at banks or whatever) ... this will make life harder for people in need...
I didn't put those rules... allah did... allah also put christians rules but humens changed what bible says... so its not accepted anymore...
Allah said he will only accept islam... we can argue all day and he will still only accept islam and you will regret not being one... sorry bro... but thats the truth - +1 y
@malek123: drinking is fine as long it isn't drunkness. As far all the other stuff you're saying is just silly and stupid.
- +1 y
@malek123: You calling me a idiot yet you post stupidity like this:
"What about not covering (for women) they will end up turning guys on... this will raise the raping cases..."
Muslim men are a bunch of sick weirdos that have no self control. - +1 y
I dont know about gays like you... but do you feel well while being turned on and having to control yourself? wouldn't it be better for women to cover? .. however... we dont force women to cover... they do it because its better for them... if you want to be turned on by girls go find yourself a whore as you
