Non-Muslims, how would you feel about SOFT Quran recitation or du’as before flight?

Okay, to further explain. I’m not a hijabi, and I’d be saying everything very softy like under my breath even whisper to not disturb anybody and for my own safety. Although I could be recognized as Muslin from my Arabic name necklace or Allah (swt) necklace. I recently came across this meme that went viral among Muslims that was like “nobody knows this flight made it safe bc I recited Ayat Ul-Kursi,” which is an Ayah (or verse) that brings safety and protection.

Last Ramadan, I got into the habit of still (under my breath ofc) saying what I’d do for my Salah (or prayer) when it was that time, whenever I was on the subway or bus. I occasionally still do that now that it’s not Ramadan. Now I know bc of the rampant islamophobia, flights would be different. Plus New Yorkers are very used to interacting w Muslims day to day.

Do you think I’d be okay doing it? I’ve heard horror stories of people being kicked off for just speaking Arabic or for their adhan notification going off from their phone.

Also do non-Muslims know what Du’a hands are? And would that be a dangerous thing to do?

thanks <3
