there's no reason to expect a Spirit being to have a humanoid body at all. As far as I can tell, a spirit being would be either a Sphere or a single point.

the Bible incorrectly ascribes humanoid characteristics to God and Angels. God is the First Cause, and the First Cause is a Singular Being, not a system of lesser beings (such as the incorrect doctrine of the Trinity,) and obviously not a deterministic system such as a humanoid body. Therefore I would expect that the real God actually exists as a singular point, literally a singularity of some sort.

So God might appear to you in a vision, but I doubt he would misrepresent his own existence as a humanoid, since he is provably not a humanoid. Similarly, I doubt a real Angel would appear as a humanoid, since they are unlikely to be humanoids if they are in fact made from light-energy (Paul's apparent claim in the bible about Satan anyway,) or from pure logic itself, there would be no reason whatsoever for them to be limited to the humanoid form, as such a being would have little or no need to ever manipulate a physical tool nor invent anything outside of itself. Well, a purely light-energy being might still need to invent warp drive eventually if it wanted to travel throughout creation, but a purely logical being might be able to fly "at the speed of thought" throughout any causally connected system of realities, provided doing so doesn't break any laws.

A righteous angel, most likely NOT being a humanoid, wouldn't deceive you about his own nature. An evil angel actually would lie about his own nature. Therefore it's unlikely that actual righteous angels are humanoids, if they even exist at all. If they do exist, it's likely, as I started to say, that they exist as either a sphere of light-energy or a single point, as if they are a purely logical being, they are not required to be dimensional constructions at all.

Just so you know, I've actually had visions nad prophetic dreams involving angels and archangels.

A few years ago, my sister was diagnosed with stage 3 hodgkins lymphoma. After about a year I had a dream of an archangel, the one from the Diablo 2 video game, appearing before me. It had swirling energy wings and golden rings inside and outside its body, and its face was covered in darkness, but it was otherwise white with white robes and white armor. It had an MRI machine in its torso, and it spoke four words to me, "we are cancer free". Then the dream ended.

The next day, my mother told me my sister's cancer was cured.

So I actually do believe in angels, but I disbelieve the biblical accounts of them.
