Just don't overthink. It's good to have some good friends. Although you should be sure that his wife does not have any problem with him talking to you, Or you may cause a clash between them. In between your gossips try to ask about her wife once a while, if he gets nervous or seems like hiding things, he's trying to cheat on her and there is a very little chance he's into you. Just don't get to attached and assume things unless you sure. Keeping a general friendship is always good

Cristians are weird, if he gave you a bible and told you to call if have any doubts, he is trying to convert you and help you.
However that means he has this high horse knight in shining armor mentality and will eventually develop crush for you.
So in short, right now he is being kind but will develop a crush for you eventually. Either that or he is a player using religion as a tactic. There are some guys like that too.
There are two married couples giving me bible studies and their wives are ALWAYS there. If he would be a real christian he would respect his wife.
Distance yourself from him.
very innocent and platonic relationship but others will misunderstand your association

You should distance yourself from him. Looks to me like the bible and religion is an excuse to spend more time with you. There are so many married men that are garbage. Something sick might be going on with him and his wife as well where they're bringing other people into it and you don't want to get involved with that. Religion is often a cover for a lot of really disturbing behavior.
You aren't, he is.

https://www.youtube.com/embed/S6f2F3h6i9Ahttps://www.youtube.com/embed/pzefxnu6w9wIt's hard to tell. I don't think you personally are doing anything wrong at all. From his end, it's a tossup. He could just genuinely like you as a friend and want to talk about religion with you. Just keep your eyes open.
Tell him what to do with his book and stay away.
Chatting at work doesn't seem to be a big deal, so just keep it there and tone it down a bit..
lose the number, you won't need it.The Bible says, "Thou shalt not commit adultery" (Exodus 20:14).
