s I think both sides set themselves up as adversaries based on different things. Some atheists feel upset that Christian teachings are being pushed where they don't belong including government and schools. Some Christians feel their faith being attacked as well as their intelligence and character. Unfortunate for both sides, there are just a vocal minority who make it look bad for the actual rational members from both sides.
