I'd immediately contact the most religious people I know then sit back and enjoy the shitshow

It belongs there but people thinking that’s a bad thing don’t understand the deeper meanings to the myths themselves. Mythology is also about the quest for self betterment and just another way of metaphorically describing our relationships with each other and with death and various phenomena.
Oh shoot. Well I don't wanna get a book here if I don't know whether they even put it in the right section or not. I better find another store.
They can believe whatever they want, but when it comes to a bookstore selling a book with well-known significance I would expect they put it in an appropriate section.
1) people will have a harder time finding it if you move it to a new place in your store, 2) you know a significant portion of the market for that book won't like it being moved there, so you'll likely lose business from it, and 3) if you're not really trying to sell that book (1,2) then why do you even have it?
If they're trying to make a statement about their religious beliefs, okay. At least that is a reason to do it that explains it. I may still shop there if it's just a statement of their own beliefs and not an attack on other beliefs. I just don't think that's very likely to be case. That would be very sad to see. But I wouldn't take it as far as talking to the manager. I would just not buy anything from the store and never shop there again.
I wouldn't feel like management would take that complaint seriously because it's becoming more and more acceptable to give less respect to religion. Such as schools not being allowed to pray and atheism being more prevalent. And things like homosexuality and abortion are being praised and encouraged. The Holy Bible sold in the mythology section? That's very offensive to people who believe in God and Jesus. I know not every one is religious but people got to respect different religions. Dude that's not cool...
I think it's dependent on whether the bookstore has a religion section. Because myths can be religion for some people (a very minute amount of people), I think that with reasonable explanation, it would be understandable. Now I am agnostic and I've been very wary of the Bible, but I don't think disregarding someones beliefs is the way to handle your disbelief.
I'd find it typical and not bother doing business with them. They're entitled to their opinion and I'm entitled to spend my money somewhere else. I'm not a Muslim or Jew either. Still wouldn't put their books in that category.

I would be shocked and I probably wouldn't take the book store seriously. I'm Agnostic so I don't read the Bible. I believe in respecting people's religion so I can see that a religious person would find this offensive.
I laugh, I also laugh when they're in the history section. Grab em and put em back where they belong with a little pat pat.
Just shake my head and move on. Not worth the energy to get worked up on. Maybe it was malicious, maybe it was done as a joke to troll other, either way, why feed into it?
If they're combining their religion and mythology sections or they don't have a religion section it makes sense. If they do have a religious books section it would be kinda odd
"A body or collection of myths belonging to a people and addressing their origin, history, deities, ancestors, and heroes."
I MEAN THAT KIND OF DESCRIBES THE BIBLE doesn't IT (TwT)I guess it would seem offensive, just not to me! I’m Jewish, and I’m non-practicing at that!
The jewish religion is all myths. Even today. All their current beliefs.
I may think in mind that it's wrong to be put there, but everyone has their own opinions. So, I'd probably see that and take my business elsewhere.
I would laugh, but I accidentally hit I'd buy one, sorry I fucked your poll up, I'm tired 😂
I would be offended and then politely tell management it looks wrong.
I know what I'm doing on my next visit to Barnes & Noble.
That would be the correct place to put it factually.
I wouldn't mind. I know for plenty enough people it is mythology.
I be more like wait that dosent make sense. It's not factional but it might needs it own shelf or in a better spot.
