Does God want us to love as passionately as children do?

When I was a child, I loved people so easily. I breathed love like it was oxygen. But with lies from people I trusted, abuse, fights, people treating me bad for no reason, I became closed to the idea of love. I don’t mean romantic love, but communal love. I lost my compassion because of all the challenges I experienced.

We do have a loving God, he never fails me, just the other day I was in the store
I had limited funds to buy groceries, this middle age woman was working she had
to be least 70+ years old, she was a cashier but someway she took $9.76 and paid
off what I owed to my bill which came to $62.00 + I went in the store not knowing

what I could buy or not buy but now I got food for a Christmas meal and what hurts
is my own cousin had funds that she could have helped me and she has money to burn
but her excuse is she has anxiety, the issue she needs to be helped with her head issues and stop being a witch and doing witchcraft, maybe that is why I've noticed God wants me to stay away from her house and she got Munchhausen Syndrome

Love is the foundation for the Lords people to live by. It originates from a word in greek that means love without conditions or unconditional love and the meaning is to share the love selflessly and follow his example of how he loved people.
Matthew 22:36-40

No one has the slightest idea whether God is real or, if a God does exist, what God may want. Some people claim to know what God wants, but somehow what they say God wants is always exactly the same thing they want. All too often they tell us that God wants us to send them money.

Love isn't only love, sweetheart. It's hard work, and trust, and tears, with even a few glimpses of devastation. But at the end of each day, if you can still look at the person at your side and can't imagine anyone else you'd rather have there, the pain and heartache and the ups and downs of love are worth it.

Meh, children don't love, deary, they don't have the mental capacity to understand what love is. They are simple minds.
