+1 yOne thing is 100% certain- as time goes onward, we are getting closer.
So many of Jesus' prophecies in the Bible have come to pass or are continuing onward.
Jesus said that the last days would be preceded by several things: many false Christs would come, deceiving many; we would “hear of wars and rumors of wars”; and there would be an increase in “famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places. All these are the beginning of sorrows” (Matthew 24:5-8). Today’s news is full of false religions, warfare, and natural disasters. We know that events of the tribulation period will include all that Jesus predicted (Revelation 6:1-8); current events seem to be a build-up for greater trouble ahead.
Paul warned that the last days would bring a marked increase in false teaching. “In later times, some will abandon the faith, and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons” (1 Timothy 4:1). The last days are described as “perilous times” because of the increasingly evil character of man and because of people who actively “oppose the truth” (2 Timothy 3:1-9; also see 2 Thessalonians 2:3). The list of things people will be in the last days—lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power—(2 Timothy 3:1-2) seems to fit our modern age exactly.
Can there be any doubt that the prophecies concerning apostasy are being fulfilled? Our 21st-century world has embraced moral relativism, a philosophy which is tainting even the church. For example, many denominations are having a hard time defining marriage as being between one man and one woman as explained in the Bible, and many religious leaders today are openly supporting homosexuality. The Bible has become subordinate to the modern church’s quest for a more appealing, reader-friendly “truth.” These are indeed “perilous times” spiritually.
The formation of the European Union—and the fact that we have a reunified Germany—is very interesting in light of biblical prophecy. The “ten toes” of Daniel 2:42 and the ten-horned beasts of Daniel 7:20 and Revelation 13:1 are references to a “revived” Roman Empire which will hold power before Christ returns. Although the precise political structure has yet to be formed, the pieces can be seen falling into place.
In 1948, Israel was recognized as a sovereign state, and this, too, has ramifications for the student of Scripture. God promised Abram that his posterity would have Canaan as “an everlasting possession” (Genesis 17:8), and Ezekiel prophesied a physical and spiritual resuscitation of Israel (Ezekiel 37). Having Israel as a nation in its own land is important in light of end-time prophecy, because of Israel’s prominence in eschatology (Daniel 10:14; 11:41; Revelation 11:8). Ref- got questions. org00 Reply

+1 yLet's see:
1. Wars, unrest, and fighting: "You will hear of wars and rumours of wars... Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom" (Matthew 24:6,7; Luke 21:10).
2. Famines, pestilences (disease epidemics), and earthquakes (Matthew 24:7; Luke 21:11).
3. General lawlessness: "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12).
4. Anxiety and worry about the future: "men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming on the earth" (Luke 21:26).
5. Disrespect for authority: "In the last days perilous times will come: men will be... disobedient to parents (2 Timothy 3:1,2).
6. Religious hypocrisy: "In latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their consciences seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with Thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth" (1 Timothy 4:1-3).
"Lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power (2 Timothy 3:4,5).
7. Lots of preaching about God and His kingdom: "This gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come (Matthew 24:14).
All these things occur nowadays at a scale unprecedented in human history; to deny this is to lie to oneself. The Bible says too: "Wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together" (Matthew 24:28).10 Reply

Apparently it’s the beginning of the END TIMES. First we need to meet an Anti-Christ.
A character that will actually impress and be admired by the global population. Not just the United States. Someone who will be loved by all countries and followed.
And that hasn’t even happened. Hitler, Michael Jackson, Justin Bieber and Donald Trump were not the Anti-Christ at all.
It’s someone who will be adored Globally.41 Reply- +1 y

+1 yLiterally every generation of christians have claimed that they are the generation that would see 'the end times'.
All of them were wrong. And so is this generation.812 Reply- +1 y
On the other hand, eventually one of those generations will be correct. LOL :)
- +1 y
@loveslongnails
No.
Because a world ending event, is not the same as 'the end times' as described by christians. They're not the same thing. - +1 y
Who mentioned "world ending event"? I'm simply saying that eventually, one generation will be correct when they say "these are the end times as described, etc". Eventually.
- +1 y
@loveslongnails
No, then you haven't understood what's being talked about.
'The end times' as described in the bible is talking about Revelation. The return of jebus and a war between heaven and hell, blah, blah, blah.
That is not the same as a statistically likely world ending event. - +1 y
I don't understand? What I don't understand is where you found the term "world ending event" in either the question posted, or the statement I made? The post does not say anything about a "world ending event", either in the headline, or the quoted commentary. It only mentions the term "end times", to wit, about your comment that " every generation of Christians have claimed they are the generation that would see the end times." Given that THIS generation is incorrect, one future generation will eventually be correct. It was humor, no rocket science, and never even a hint or mention of a "world ending event"! :)
- +1 y
@loveslongnails
So you were being sarcastic, OK. I thought you were suggesting that Revelation was inevitable.
When you read your original response as if it was a sincere statement, then my use of 'world ending event' makes perfect sense. - +1 y
I wasn't being sarcastic. Sarcasm, one of my favorite misused words in the English language, is using irony to mock someone, usually with contempt. If anything I was being humorous, perhaps a bit tongue-in-cheek, albeit sincere. That said, I still don't see how bringing in "world ending event" has any relevance to what the poster is asking. And it's not likely I will, so you don't need to explain it any further :) It's fine. lol
- +1 y
@loveslongnails
I don't see how I could make it any easier to understand 'world ending event'.
You understand what the 'end times' as described in the bible means right? And world ending event was used to distinguish the specific prophetic event of the bible - the 'end times', from a random event that happens to also colloquially be understood as an 'end times'. - +1 y
Fine, now that you've explained it, I can simply disagree with the colloquial connotation. Let's go have a drink :)
Asker+1 yThe end times happens all the time. The fall of rome was an end times event and we know from history that they experienced what Jesus prophesied.
- +1 y
Asker, you've just diluted your 'end times' definition to the point of utter meaninglessness.
- +1 y
In this case, I agree with you.
"Tjhe End of Time" would mean the end of the entire Multiverse, which there is no SANE reason for God to end this entire planet, nevermind the universe or multiverse because of man's sins, real or imagined.
Christians are ALL false prophets, so it should be no surprise that they falsely prophesy future events. It's what their false-prophet god-man started doing 2000 years ago, and it's not surprising. If the false god falsely prophesied, so then do the false believers falsely prophesy.
There is no such thibng as the "End of Time" in Judaism nor in real Science. Even when this Universe experiences "Heat death" the multiverse will go on forever and forever. Moreover, THE Covenant is FOREVER. EVERLASTING. PERPETUAL GENERATIONS. UNCONDITIONALLY FOREVER. PERIOD...
Ask a Jewish Rabbi and he's going to say the same thing. THE COVENANT IS FOREVER AND CANNOT BE AMMENDED.
+1 yAll the signs of the end times that Jesus spoke of are occurring now more than ever. Earthquakes, food shortages, nation will rise against nation, men lovers of self, of money, no natural affection, and having a form of worship but proving false to its power.
Have we always seen these things on their own from time to time? Yes. But never all at once before now, as a composite sign. Never on such a grand scale have we seen so many of these things come so strongly and so frequently. There can be no doubt that the system of things we know and live in will soon bow to God's kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven.
So thank God for that!00 Reply2.5K opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. If you are asking if this is the last decade, it’s extremely unlikely. People have been predicting the end for about 2000 years and it hasn’t happened yet. There’s no reason to believe it’s different now. In many ways
things today are better than ever, although of course there are still pockets of misery.00 ReplyThere is no such thing as the End of Time in Old Testament prophecy.
The Covenants with Noah and Moses are "EVERLASTING TO PERPETUAL GENERATIONS" This means the God of Noah and Moses promised NEVER to destroy life on EArth again... not ever... not under any circumstances... FOR EVER.
Stop falsely prophesying the end of time. It's a lie. Jesus was a liar and a false prophet.

+1 yAccording to the Bible, we’ve been in the last days since at least the time of the apostle John.
“Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

Asker+1 yIm asking a very specific question here. About love and sin and its cause of the end times phenomena.
Asker+1 ySin doesn't cause a loss of love, and a loss of love doesn't cause distress and the end of a civilization? I dont think you're right at all
- +1 y
that's because they're all false prophets.
THE Covenant between God and Mankind states that God will never again destroy the world not ever and not for any reason. If man wants to destroy the world through pollution, that's man's stupidity, but God swore BY HIMSELF that he would never so much as plague the ground again for man's sake, not then, not now, not EVER.
So these christian false prophets are just repeating the false prophecies of Jesus, and mark my words, Jesus was a FALSE PROPHET of the WORST SORT. He claimed to be God himself in the flesh, which is the same EXACT sin Satan is accused of committing.
Jesus therefore is not even morally different from the devil himself. They both committed the exact same sin. - +1 y
Asker:
Jesus is a false prophet. It doesn't matter if or when the "end of time" ever happens. Jesus is a false prophet because he claimed to be God in the Flesh.
The Book of Deuteronomy tells you not to believe a false prophet EVEN IF their prophecy comes to pass. If they are preaching any God other than THE REAL ONE WHO IS NOT A MAN, then don't believe them. The Old TEstament tells you specifically four different times four different places that GOD IS NOT A MAN and GOD DOES NOT CHANGE. SO GOD DOES NOT "BECOME" A MAN EITHER.
Anyway, do you know what the word PERPETUAL means? THE COVENANT IS for PERPETUAL generations, which means there is no such thing as the "end of time". - +1 y
There have been God only knows how many human civilizations which have come and gone for one reason or another: Their fault, Your fault, my fault, nobody's fault, whatever the case.
If everybody wants to go back to baal worship and committing human sacrifice, guess what? The True Creator will let them do that too. He'll let everyone destroy themselves if they are dumb enough to do it, just like he let nearly everyone world wide legalize abortion. That's free will, unfortuantely. They are all going to be punished for thos esins, but God isn't going to step in and stop everyone from destroying themselves if they are dumb enough and evil enough to destroy themselves. Just like God isn't going to "magically" stop humans from polluting the EArth and potentially even driving ourselves extinct. If we are dumb enough as a species to sacrifice our own children on an altar to baal, then yes, we are dumb enough to drive ourselves extinct with Carbon fuels... AND THAT WON'T BE THE END OF TIME EITHER... that'll just be the end of an insignificant race of fools on this planet, but I'm sure God has millions and even billions of sentient species somewhere out in the Galaxy and the Universe, and many of them are probably a hell of a lot smarter and more righteous than we'll ever be. - +1 y
@Wade12345 it is an interesting Theory as you can already tell I'm inclined to disagree with you but I will listen to you I do wonder if we all missed the boat somewhere everyday I ask that question
It seems like whenever things get bad it's the end of times. I think people use the idea of the end of times to ensure people go to church and give more money to the church.
