You and I agree on most things concerning religion, but probably not this (but with the religion removed from the equation). I'll try to explain:

I think gay conversion therapy should be illegal if it is forced upon someone against their will. It should also be illegal for the purposes of not only changing one's sexuality, but also converting someone to believe in a religion.

However, and this is where we might disagree, I think gay conversion therapy or perhaps a better term would be psychological sexual attraction training should be available to those who wish to change their sexuality. I'm sure you probably think sexuality is rigid and can't be altered and if so, I disagree. I firmly believe one can actually acquire sexual taste. But here is the interesting part: it requires sampling. So you probably couldn't change someone's sexual taste with one on one counseling sessions. Physical engagement is needed.

The brain is malleable. Just as you can learn to enjoy spicy food or a kind of music you didn't before with the right encouragement, I think learning to enjoy another sexual activity is also possible. It is much more complicated than being able to make a gay person just want to fuck anyone from the opposite sex though. It still has to be someone attractive enough to that person.

There's also something about this which will ruffle the neck-beard bristles of those who've been cheering me on up until this point. That something is not only can you train a homosexual to enjoy heterosexual sex, you can also get a heterosexual person to enjoy homosexual sex!

Not the Canadian definition of Conversion Therapy, Now say your 10 year old child thinks he’s gay. You take him to a psychologist if the psychologist now says anything other then your gay your going to be gay all your life, rather then ok why do you feel gay or what makes you think your gay? The psychologist now can face 5 years in prison. Which pretty much outlaws Muslims Jews and Christians from practicing there religion because if you took your child to a rabbi a priest or imam there are obligated by there religious beliefs to say little Johnny or Ben or Omar you are not gay your just having disturbed feelings let’s ask God or Alla to protect you and guide you they rabbi priest or imam will now go to prison for conversion therapy. Pretty antiseptic Islamaphobic and anti-Christian if you ask me.

if we’re talking the old rationed elector shock treatment yea get rid of that but I don’t think that happens anymore unless your in China or Russia

Absolutely it should be illegal. It’s vile and it’s disgusting. Abusive parents do this to their kids, subjecting them to even more abuse, all over something they quite literally cannot control.

No. I was sent to a Christian gay conversion camp. I was sinning a lot with my best friend. It started with us masturbating together while talking about boys we liked, practicing kissing, dry humping each other, oral sex, fingerings each other and so on. We fooled ourselves we weren't sinning because we were saving ourselves for our husbands but we developed real feelings of love for each other.
Anyway with a lot of treatment and prayer I no longer desire to sleep with other women though I only ever wanted to sleep with my best friend. She took it pretty hard when I told her I couldn't see her anymore and went for the conversion therapy, our hearts were broken. She tried to ruin my wedding as well but she was dragged away and took an overdose. I am happily married with kids now while my friend is living the LGBTQ life and is very unhappy with many failed relationships some of which are abusive and she drinks to much and does drugs. I'm very grateful to my parents for forcing me to go to the conversion camp and for God saving me.

It actually should be illegal because the sole existence of gay conversion therapy is a tool of oppression against gay people.

Normally I'm pretty hesitant to just go around banning things but gay conversion therapy has no place in a civilized society.
