How old do you think the Earth is?

Someone says, “according to the Bible, the Earth is 6,000 years old.” Scientists say that, “the Earth is billions of years old.” There was this article that shows that the Old Testament was written between 1,200-165 BC, and the New Testament in the first century AD.
So, if the Earth is around 6,000 years old. Then, wouldn’t that means the Earth is around 7,000 years old? As of today, the Earth is around 8,000 years old if it is 6,000 years old according to the Bible. Or, 9,000 years old if the Bible was written between the 1,200-165 BC.

The same group of people also think that the world exploded into Being from Nothingness…or self-created and self starting into Evolution. And, they assert Origin of the Species as the fundamental document that underlies the human experience. It’s so flawed that…I don’t even want to go into it.

The Earth is 8 billion years old, based on 1990's calculations done by LSU, and the Universe is 96 billion years old, based on General Relativity. The Sun is about 48 billion years old.

It's scary that in this day and age thousands of people actually believe the Earth is only a few thousand years old.

Nah, that's a mistranslation of the old Hebrew texts by Christians to come up with the "6000 years" malarky.

There is in fact no set number in the scriptures and for good reason.
