Lol, not lack of drive. By your age, 28, I was with three Fortune 500s and was a Team Leader. I am who you want to become you little twerp. You just don’t understand the scope of a relationship with God. Your brain has simplified it to be joke since that’s all you can comprehend. God I hate the self righteous atheists whose true goal is validation that they themselves are smart. I would be nihilistic if I were atheist as then nothing matters, certainly not what others believe, but you have a psychological need to feel superior and smart. Anyway, I’m done here.

+1 yI think people work to achieve things but the bible says, God is the one who gives you the ability to work, and giving God credit does not mean you go unpaid or unrecognized because God honours you when you honour him. I used to exercise for 8 hours a day, and when God told me how to lose weight, I lost weight faster while not exercising a single hour than I did when my only goal was weight loss the bible teaches that serving God is the easiest way to maximize your ability and those who serve themselves, weaken their skill and power.
10 Reply That’s really an important question and it might truly be confused. I spent so many years to understand this and I hope I will explain it in a good way to you.
As a believer, a Muslim, I believe that Allaah the almighty created everything from nothing, and that he sent us to earth to test us who are going to really fulfill the promise to submit to him and worship him eternally.
So, Allaah the almighty created this earth and life with rules, and sent messengers and prophets to guide us to these rules and remind us of the meaning of our existence. And amongst these rules is that good and bad are already existing and we make our own choice to follow any of them both. However, when we choose wrong or bad it’s 💯 our deal because Allaah the almighty doesn’t like wrong or bad so he would never help anyone in doing the wrong or the bad. But, when we choose the right and good thing it is thanks to Allaah’s guidance, how?
When our heart is getting clean and forwarded to Allaah the almighty and seeking his guidance, Allaah the almighty guides us by sending us signs or people or tools that would give us a message and help to keep going on and keep doing good and right. Moreover, all our existence, life, breath, sight, feelings, heartbeat, everything we have including our actions and rest is from Allaah the almighty, so that’s why we always thank Allaah for everything even if we are suffering we still thank Allaah for the blessings we have…
And no matter how much we thank Allaah in out life we wouldn’t be able to thank him enough for one bounty amongst the bounties he gives us, for example the bounty of seeing things, or speaking, or walking, or feeling, or thinking, …, if we want to thank him for only one of his bounties we will never thank him enough. And anything we achieve is thanks to his blessings, because if Allaah the almighty doesn’t bless us we would never be able to achieve anything, we as humans are very weak and our abilities are limited without Allaah’s blessings, when Allaah the almighty bless us our abilities gets unlimited and most blessings from him is protecting us from evil people who wants bad for us or trying hard to get us down. No matter how good you are, there’s always haters and racists who don’t want others to live good and succeed, and from Allaah’s blessings is protecting us from them and supporting us to more success.00 Reply861 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. 🤔. Okay, one has to know enough to be contextually accurate or interpretive. Christians, from realizing personally “that I do not Do the Good that I want to do, simultaneously, I do the “Not Good” that I swore I would never do. AND, I enjoyed both the not doing “Good” and doing the “not Good”.…as my mind’s 👁 watches in amazement just shaking its head. What an obviously misguided soul, as well as, wretchedly Depraved mind and body, I am. —-This is obvious to us SO we leave all the weight associated with “Perfect”, “Good-hearted”, and “basically a good person”, when we KNOW we are not, At the Cross regenerated anew In Grace through Jesus the Messiah.
-Whewww…now before getting to The Cross, most, have an existential knowing. We call that our Testimony. Most can remember the Day that Lord Jesus moved in their life.
-Once Saved, we find that those spiritual interventions that are substantiated in our Testimony continue.-It’s called Indwelled by the Living God and Walking In The Spirit…
—Our Body/Temple is not our own AND we know or recall enough of what we were before In Christ Jesus TO KNOW…I didn’t do that “good thing”…that’s our Sovereign God through Grace, Mercy, and Judgment Providentially working in our lives.
—-I’m in the Present, while simultaneously, with my mind’s 👁, watching God work in and through me, dumbfounded. There’s a lot of “that was not me”.-Especially, when Buddhists etc come to know Christ and I can watch it in them and they can substantiate it for themselves.-If that sort of knowing does not dent one’s self-pride…. personalize an Absolute Truth…humble one then 🤷🏻♂️-what’s going too.00 Reply
+1 yThat is one of the most misinterpreted, stupid things Christians do.
The purpose of saying that is to appreciate what helped us accomplish our goals, that the world we live in is beautiful by design and provides everything we need.
Most people would really need to study the laws of attraction to actually understand the Bible. In the context of a religion, its supposed to remind us to stay grounded and that one person isn't necessarily better than another.
But people take it way too far. These people are brainwashed by churches that get hung up on the word Worship. Read the Bible and tell me how much worship Jesus seemed to expect from people. It wasn't, nothing you do you can be proud of high.
It's supposed to be about controlling your ego and where you should rest yours at. Having the goal of no ego is bad too.00 Reply
Anonymous(25-29)+1 yA lot of people find comfort in depending on a Being of higher power and a religion. When you’re at your lowest, you won’t find any strength or hope in yourself. The humans around you can’t think of shit to say to you rather than some measly advice that won’t even work most of the time. That’s how people start seeking religion, when they’re at their lowest in their life. And when they get out of that pit and become successful, of course they will thank the One who they prayed to during hard times.

+1 yA true Christian ( a true follower of Christ, not those christians in name who twist the Bible for hate) realizes that God is the reason we live, the reason everything good exists and that the blessings we have are from him. Yes, humans can accomplish stuff on their own, but boasting about our own accomplishments makes us arrogant and forgetting that God is in charge. At its worst we replace God with our own desires. So Christians try their best to remain humble.

+1 yI don't think they don't take any credit for their hardwork.
I feel like they thank god because they're just grateful to have been able to felt supported through the hard work.
But that's just what I observed. I'm atheist so I don't know why they actually do it...00 Reply
+1 yBecause “themselves” is God, they use a god as an explanation for their inspiration and fortitude, that’s how their minds are framed.
I feel guilty about this, because god
I had a new idea, because god granted that
That kind of thing, but I’m an atheist, so that’s just my outside perspective00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yIt’s no different from giving thanks for being alive. Do you thank yourself for good health and alive? You can but ultimately life is precious and it can be taken at any moment. That’s the thought process anyway. You work hard and give thanks for your success.
00 ReplyThat "magical being" you refer to resides inside of you. That drive and determination are you using your abilities to accomplish your goals. If some people prefer to let a God take the credit, the result is the same.
