How do I choose which religion is best for me?

My family ethnicity is tribal but they worship hindu gods. I was always an atheist while growing up. But now I want to turn religious. Im thinking of converting to Christianity. What are your opinions?

Firstly, Christianity, In and Through Christ Jesus is the only way to an Eternal relationship with God…as a Son/Daughter of God. And to know of Him personally one must:
-acknowledge that you are sinful… unfulfilled by the world.
—ask for forgiveness…just for your most recent Sins.
-that Jesus the Messiah is Savior and Lord and you would like to know Him.
If you are willing to seek Him, Christ Jesus, will find you. Reading book of John in Bible is good way to start. What you don’t understand then ask God to help.
—Talk to God: if you are feeling a hollow emptiness inside be honest…if not then not. Ask Him to reveal yourself to you in a way that is understandable to you. “I am here and willing, if you are Christ Jesus.” Make certain you are serious in seeking him…that your heart is pure…want to know if there’s more etc… HOWEVER you want to say it.

You should not pick a religion that is "best for you" or fits your tastes or worldview. You should pick the religion that is true.

And if you examine the theology, philosophy, and teachings, all of which have the backing of history and church authority, you will find this in the Catholic Church.

That said, what, if you don't mind my asking, is causing you to ask these questions?

Doesn't work that way.
You need to be convinced that a religion is true, not just pick one. These aren't sweets at your local shop, they're sincerely held beliefs about... supernatural sky wizards.
Start by looking into /whether/ a god exists or not, if the theists arguments are actually convincing to you, then you can look into specifics about what various religions claim their deities think/do.

In my opinion you’re free to choose whatever faith you believe is true. Christianity is more of a relationship rather than a religion though. It’s not about following a bunch of rules to get into heaven because God looks at what’s in your heart. You could do all the right things but if in your heart you don’t believe in Jesus then it’s pointless.

Christianity better than nothing. But honestly just take a look on islam forget about the bloody part every religion have that part look into the verses that talk about justice and fairness also dont stole dont have sex out of marriage and there's 1 god and his messenger.
