Why do some Christians or religious people hate the gay community more than any other "sinners"?

I want to talk about Christians in particular. Why do they shun on gay people and think they are the worst kind of people. Yet those same Christians lie, cheat, steal, kill or get people killed and are Sooo racists (ofcourse not all of them).

Everybody and their momma knows that God marks all kinds of sins as equal to each other. Why publically humiliate someone for being who they want to be, is it because your "sins" can be hidden unlike their's?

Because that's religion. No matter what religious people just follow whatever they want then wrap there feelings around group who believe the same thing.
So it don't actually matter what the book texts says or whatever because people will just read what they want and gather around others who also read that. Aka why religion is just people interpretations and useless as any amount of fact as it's all bias.
Even just saying your religion is correct compared to someone else's is your bias as you wanting to follow that religion because it aligns with what you want.

So of course every religion including the same religion have just different cults of people all believing different things about the exact same thing while in reality all they are doing is promoting what they want.
So them Christians who hate on gay people are actually just homophobic people using religion to promote that view. Than the religion promoting it themselves. And no matter what text they use to justify themselves it don't work because religion is all open to interpretation every single line.

Look at it this way...

A lot of the most grotesque and hateful people tend to try to conceal themselves behind a good cause (activism, feminism) or religious faith. They also tend to be the most vocal in our society. I don't why they do this, but maybe it's because deep down they know they're horrible people, and they hate it... so they hide under a veil of virtue to make themselves feel better. Who knows.

The Christian faith does not teach anything about racial superiority, but it does mention homosexuality being "unnatural"... and it is. But a true Christian is aware that man is inherently a sinner, and most of how we live our lives is "unnatural." So they should know that they have no right to judge others.

I think it’s a matter of what could and couldn’t apply to those screaming about the sin of being gay. Anybody can find themselves tied up in things like stealing, cheating and divorce, so they are treated like lesser sins. But gay sex only applies to gay people, so they can safely be demonized without having to worry that those standard with be applied to those who do the demonizing.

Hi agree with you, there are so many things that are more unchristian than being gay that are socially accepted by these gay opposing Christians so blaming others is wrong.

Because they are human and they simply don't like gay people.. It has nothing to do with them being Christians.. It's a sin to be hateful, so if they are doing that along with purposefully lying, cheating, and stealing, then they aren't Christians.. Also not all sins are equal.. Lying is not equal to murder..

Some punishments for certain sins may differ and be more or less severe than others (reasons too),
But ultimately sin separates us from God.

You're wrong. God commanded certain immoral acts carried the death penalty while others didn't.

Besides, the point Jesus said Judas committed the greater sin which clearly implies all sins aren't equal.

For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.

So if you keep the law of not killing but break the one of not stealing (even 1 dollar) it doesn't really matter.

For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.”

Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.

It's basically saying if a person is guilty of one sin i. e. lying then he or she is just as guilty before God as one who has murdered and broken the law of God.

It doesn't mean if a person lies that it makes them automatically guilty of adultery and murder as well.

Jesus did say, “From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded,” (Luke 12:47-48). The more we know about God the more we are responsible to God.

The Old Testament Law had lesser punishments for those who sinned unintentionally and greater sins for those who sinned “defiantly” (Numbers 15:27-31).

The fact is the ACT of sin breaks the relationship we have with God, the severity of the punishments might differ but a sin is a sin nonetheless.
