Why are Christians so hateful toward homosexuals?

It strikes me as inconsistent that we, as Christians, are capable of embracing various individuals who are caught in a web of sins, yet we exclude those identifying as homosexuals. We warmly welcome the man engaged in infidelity against his wife. We extend open arms to the wife who is unfaithful to her husband. We empathize with those grappling with alcoholism or addiction. But when it comes to homosexuals, why do we shut our church doors? The essence of Jesus's ministry was not anchored on catering to the privileged or the flawless. Instead, it was quite the opposite. Essentially, Jesus conveys that regardless of your past, you are cherished and accepted. He invites you to approach him just as you are, but not to remain as you are. Upon embracing Christ, we surrender our entire lives to him. Personally, I relinquished many aspects of my life that I initially resisted giving up. However, the invaluable solace I found in a welcoming church community that supported me throughout this journey cannot be understated.

People are homosexual are not to be treated with distain or abandoned from the church. They are to be welcomed just as everyone else. We are all sinners, so why are you exclusively shunning homosexuals without regard to our own sinful lives?

I think as a result, homosexuals who believe in God or resorting to abandoning their faith thus being more susceptible to sin. These people need prayer.
