I feel sympathy for gay people and want them to know God loves them. I do not share their lifestyle and do not want to be influenced by it but I want them to know their lives are still valuable to God.

again, this is my biggest problem with christians, gay people don't you telling them anything, get the hint and move on to some other poor sap who doesn't want to hear how his somehow "lifestyle" is a sin and choice.
