I mean.. the mother will have to face God and her unborn child at the judgment. Do you think that God and the children will forgive her?
861 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. Abortion is a Sin. There's no need for pontificating in this case !!!
To your Question: "I promise you that any of the sinful things you say or do can be forgiven no matter how terrible those things are. But if you speak against the Holy Spirit, you can never be forgiven. That sin will be held against you forever.(Mark 3:28-29)"
Forgiveness/Reconciliation: First thing-if you are not In Christ Jesus then forgiveness is beyond your reach. If you are In Christ Jesus, you are reconciling yourself unto Him. Forgiveness is a spiritual act which means one relies on God's Grace at the Cross to substitutionary atone for those sins.
In that act or prayer one confesses Sin, asks for forgiveness, and repents (turns away from) that Sin. Repenting is much more an issue for Addictions than abortion. Repenting is not working with others to fix or repair what you have done, however, such a thing does emerge form a heart that understands Grace. Heavenly Father,... prayer and In Jesus' Name, Amen
Grace: getting what is undeserved such as forgiveness simply for being In Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Mercy: NOT getting what is deserved... like instance death when break 10 commandments or Sin.
Mercy is received by all and biblical Grace only by those In Christ Jesus.
Why don't you start with "Sinners Prayer"(Romans 10:9-10) and go straight into "Lord's Prayer"(Matthew 6:9-13). Do these things first and then meditate in prayer with God.

Not sure I got you point about addiction. Are you saying addiction is a more grave sin than abortion?
- +1 y
@RoccoJones It is about “Repent”
No, I am trying to say that Repenting or turning away from a Sin is much more difficult for Addictions. I suppose there are repetitive “abort a baby people” BUT there are many repenting Porn and Narcotic folks that come back to that Sin. Forgiveness and repentance goes hand-in-hand with forgiveness request given that one does not subscribe to hyperGrace and/or seeks full Reconciliation.
Her question is actually about Reconciliation. Being reconciled with all the mentioned Agents in question.

+1 yThe ONLY unforgivable sin in the Bible is Blasphemy, which is deliberately grieving the Holy Spirit and attributing the powers of the Holy Spirit and Jesus to that of demons and the Devil. The only ones who can commit blasphemy are those who already accepted Jesus and then turned their backs on the Holy Spirit. An atheist who never accepted Jesus still has a chance. Blasphemy is not an accidental, but a deliberate sin.
Abortion (aka murder) is a horrible sin, but it is forgivable in God's eyes just like someone who murders someone else on the street. The requirements for forgiveness and gaining entry into Heaven is repentance from sin and TRUE belief in and obedience to Jesus.
The key part is repentance, which means turning away from sin. Accepting Jesus is not a free pass to continue to sin. If the mother has prayed to Jesus, accepted his mercy and grace and does not abort another child, she is forgiven of the sin. She will still pay the Earthly consequences of the sin, but her soul is savable.

Anonymous(25-29)+1 yDoesn't God just forgive anything that you're sorry for? That's like one of the most common beliefs. I think it's wrong, because you're ripping the limbs off of a human because they're underdeveloped, dependent, and inconvenient. Even though a baby that's born is still all those things. I'd do it anyway because I don't want to get stretched out and fat, but only within the first 6 weeks so the baby doesn't feel it at least. If I wasn't ready to be a mother and missed that mark, I'd give it up for adoption. There's other cases where it matters, like if it'd literally kill you to have the baby or you find it's existence traumatic, but those are rare cases, and not the ones I'm talking about.
03 Reply- +1 y
Asking if God forgives any sin you commit if your sorry is question where the real answer is so laden with loopholes that you will get lost trying to find the truth. The jest of it is like this. Only 1 sin is not forgivable to God and that is to commit blasphemy against God. This is found in the book Matthew 12:32. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven. The loop holes come when you ask the question; "When does a sin you committed become one that God has forgiven?' So seems that God has offered forgiveness for all but one sin

Why shouldn’t God forgive someone if they are truly sorry?
- +1 y
@WhiteBoyChill I will try my best to explain it for you. The 12th chapter of the Book of Matthew is where Christ is teaching the disciples about forgiveness. It is here in Matthew 12: 31-32 that Christ tells them that all sin including blasphemy against fellow man but blasphemy against the Spirt (aka The Holy Ghost aka God) that this would not be forgiven and he even pointed out that it would not be forgiven in this life or any life that followed after this one. If we were to go deeper into why is this the one thing that is unforgivable in the eyes of God you will find that the way God seen it he had already done more than he should of to give man a chance. Including the destruction of his creation once before and now giving us the Son to come walk side by side with man to give us his word and to let us know that as long as we were never to speak against against his name or turn our backs to him that we always had a room in the kingdom of heaven. Now as a man who has partaken in my fair share of sin I would say that is a pretty good deal.
+1 yI you have ever picked up a bible or walked in a church, you should know that God is all forgiving! Even the most heinous of sins can be forgiven if the person is truly repentant! And that doesn't mean you can go around and do as you wish, say you're sorry and it's forgiven. That is not repentance. And only God knows who has truly repented!

+1 yAbortion is a sin and every society that allowed abortions didn't take long to be destroyed. From within or outside. Modern society is going the exact way every extinct high civilization did before in the past of humanity. We all have the first-row seat to the fall of Rome 2.0. All thanks to the nonsense of sexual freedom and feminism. It was nice living in a first world country. But I will die probably in a third world country not even leaving the nation I was born in. Every European country is going to collapse in a few years maybe 2 decades.
00 ReplyYes and Yes.
It's such a hard topic to get both sides to agree. While I personally disagree with the vast majority of cases in how its used, I do understand that other sides point but only within a small window. What that window is, I have no idea. However, In my opinion, there is a better argument that they could state which could resinate more with the other side. That being that, abortion helps taxpayers not have to financially support someone who wasn't even in a position to support themselfes before. The statistics of women under 25 getting abortions (and those who do, in avg get 2), is friehtening. Don't have to subsidize daycare, food, housing, etc.
I still think the negatives out way the positives though specifically because abortion is really just used a safety net for reckless behavior. Without abortion, condoms, BC, other forms, you'd have far less single mothers, less women in their 40s single, etc.00 ReplyIt is difficult to say.
On one hand, if you were irresponsible and ended up having a kid, it becomes your responsibility to raise that kid.
On the other, especially if she was raped and forcefully impregnated, we cannot force her to have the baby. Of course at church we have various support organizations who will care for the kid if the mom doesn't want it, so we discourage abortion in general, but we leave it up to the mother/couple.
Human nature is to be sinful. Only through the grace and mercy of God are we saved and washed clean. Abortion or not, we are all sinners, but when we acknowledge and ask for the mercy and grace of God and confess that we need Jesus, that he suffered so that we may gain eternal life and salvation, sin is forgiven.
Sin was already accounted for, 2000 years ago on that cross. We just need to admit that as humans, we are weak and fall prey to sin, and acknowledge out loud that we need God's grace and mercy.00 Reply
+1 yYes but only if she repented and ask God/Jesus for forgiveness before leaving this earth. This isn't just with abortion, that's with all things that we know are wrong in God's eyes but still do. Anyone can be saved forgiven if they come to Christ.

It is a sin, yes, but if she never does it again and seek repentance than she is forgiven 🙏🏻
“For God so loved the world, that he gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This is how much God loved the world: He gave His Son, His one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in Him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life.”20 ReplyFirstly it not a sin.
Secondly who are you to judge.
Thirdly it a woman’s body, her choice.
Fourthly it a horrendous decision to have to make women need support not condemning.
Fifthly weather you agree with it or not far better to be done in clean, safe environments by professional who can meet the individual needs.02 Reply- +1 y

@WhiteBoyChill all sin is falling short of God’s glory, the bible doesn’t put it in scale of worse sin. Weather you think an inappropriate thought or murder. It’s all short of God perfect spotless standard, no matter how hard we try we cannot get reconciled to god on our own. That’s why God had to do it. You can’t earn your way into heaven or relationship with God its about what he’s done for us not about what we do for him. So on the topic of abortion we should be condemning women or girls but loving them and providing support for them. You can’t ever know how they got themselves in the situation but grace and mercy is there for them. Think of Jesus and the women at the well.
+1 yAbortion isn't a sin, you do what you want with your body and stop getting caught up in what other people/entities (gods, demons, angels) think about you. In my opinion god wants us to slowly move away from fully focusing on him and instead focus on what he built so that one day, after lots of huge advancements in science, spirituality biology etc, we'll be able to meet and converse with him

Will God forgive abortion? Yes, if you are a Christian and have a relationship with Jesus as your lord and savior then it is Jesus's blood that God sees and not your sins. The blood of Jesus covers your sins.
If you are not a Christian or do not have a relationship with Jesus then His blood does not cover anything and you will be judged for your sins...
