Nope. Either I'm right and paradise awaits or I'm wrong and oblivion awaits. Either way, I cannot avoid the inevitable so why fear it? Now I'm not too fond of some of the ways I could die, but that is not the same thing.
Niether. There is nothing at all. The world as created by your consciousness past, present, and future vanish. It as if nothing ever happened and time never began.
We lose consciousness and disappear. There is no darkness because there is no mind there to experience. A billion years could pass as quickly as a minute since nothing is there to experience it.
The only afterlife is how me live on in the thoughts and changes we made in others.

No. I don't understand why anyone would be afraid of death. Someone once made the analogy of being dead to being just like it was before you were born. Nothing. How could you possibly be afraid of nothing? And why is there any reason to think that anything happens?

I pray that it would just be an end. I really don't want to keep going in some sort of afterlife. What makes me afraid of dying is the urge to make sure my kid is good. I may become reckless again once he's good to go. My purpose will be done.
I think it’s deeply instinctual for us to fear death to prevent us from doing stupid things to get ourselves killed. I am afraid of things that could kill me so I must be afraid of death.
