I'd love to think that there is more, that if conciousness continues on in some form, as I literally can not fathom the alternative. Ceasing to exist isn't darkness, it's a state that none of us can really know. That kind of scares me, but it's inevitable, and I don't fret about it.

I'd like to think there is more than that, and I kind of like the basic Buddhist views on reincarnation.

The truth is, no one can claim to know what happens after death, the only thing we know is anything that is living has to die at some point. All other theories are a creation of man, heaven, hell and ghosts is a creation of religion. Zombies, vampires are a creation in Hollywood.

You no longer experience because the tools you had in order to do so, shut down. After you die will feel just like before you were alive. There is no reason whatsoever to think anything else. Make the most of your life and don't concern yourself with irrational mysticism.
