As has been conveyed to me, everyone else will be in death in kind of a time out waiting period to be clarified by their own conscience during that time, until the Savior returns on the last day, and everyone is measured then according to whether we follow His teaching through word and example to us. So it is whether the heart is yet in a state of total surrender to the actual biblical Savior as He actually is which has been conveyed to me will yield one result or the other. As there are not people with me yet, doing this as one, the answer to this question from you as it applies to me, is dependent on if death happens to me before or after finding such willing people to do this together with and then being willing personally to do this with them as such.

It's not how well you follow the 10 Commandments, it's about if you took Jesus' offer to take the penalty for your sins so you won't be held accountable for them on Judgement Day. It's about whether your name will be found in the Book of Life. If your name is not found there on Judgement Day, you will be cast into the Eternal Darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, which is talked about in the book of Revelation. All I can say is that when the roll is called up yonder I'll be there.

Tl;Dr: NONE of us follow the 10 Commandments. We all rebel every single day in some way shape or form. Therefore, based on the 10C alone, we’d all end up in hell.

None of us have followed the 10C; perhaps we have made some good choices here and there, but throughout our lives we have been largely rebellious. The common idea of “getting into heaven by being a good person” is, Biblically-speaking, nonsense (check out Matthew 7:21-23). According to Romans 6:23, the wages of sin is death (notice it doesn’t say “sins”, but rather, “sin”. All it takes is one sin/act of rebellion to deserve death.) Furthermore, John 17:3 tells us what heaven/eternal life is. It’s not what many people think.

This is all inconvenient to us selfish human beings. We want to be able to “get into heaven” by being a good person. These verses probably sound like nonsense to many people. The Bible addresses this as well. It tells us in 1 Corinthians chapter 2 that we need God’s help to be able to see and understand these things for what they are, and that they will seem like foolishness to ignorant, prideful sinners (aka humans) who have not repented from their sin/rebellion. People don’t like the truth. People would rather continue in their sin. Lots more scriptures i could list that address all of this, but that would take awhile.

I'm not religious, but based on how I live, I should "go to Heaven" because although I'm annoyed at this species, I'm not a bad or destructive person. Although, as Marcus Arellus once said (I'm paraphrasing):
"If a god requires you to worship him in order to have your soul saved, then that is no god worth worshipping. But if a god requires you to just be a good person regardless of how you worship him, then it doesn't matter either way."

And if nothing matters in the afterlife, then at least you can make here and now matter, for the people around you and yourself. ... Or, just listen to more fairy tales about talking snakes and such.

Obviously those who wrote the bible do not interpret the way it is taught in modern Christian circles.

The Lord Jesus said, “For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matthew 12:37). Many are condemned to the misfortunes of this life, simply because of their own words. These words are often against someone who is under God’s favour.

@zayndan There is no forgiveness without true repentance. God is not mocked. He knows the heart and if you are truly sorry for your sins and if you have really changed your ways. You should know if you truly repented. The Holy Spirit will let you know that you are saved as He will be with you and convict you (chastise you like an elbow in the ribs) when you sin. God only chastises those who He loves and are saved and who are His children, just like a parent does to their children. If you never get "corrected" by God, you are probably not truly saved. Satan has no need to create shit in the lives that are perishing.

IF we are going to believe that the Bible is the true word of God, and therefore we are going to believe what it says inside of that book, then we need to understand some very important things.

1. There is no difference between sins no matter how much our society tells us there is. At least not in the eyes of ‘God’. Therefore a lie is a sin, just as murder is a sin, just as adultery is a sin. In the eyes of ‘God’ there is no differentiation between them. The only thing he sees is sin and that’s incompatible with him.

2. The Ten Commandments are absolutely irrelevant now. If Jesus was truly the son of god, came to earth, was perfect, then died and rose again to pay for our sins and to create a path for us to be with God in heaven, then the Old Testament law is no longer something that we as humans have to abide by. You need to follow those Ten Commandments in the same way you make your offerings by sacrificing a goat on an alter. It’s not needed anymore.

So what I mean is that you’re asking entirely the wrong question. The Bible says that faith without works is a dead concept. We don’t need to nor do we have to do anything aside from accepting Jesus as the savior in order to be allowed into heaven.

All of that being said, I personally think it’s all a bullshit story made up to attempt to scare people into following the morality of a certain group of individuals that has now become a common way for grown adults to make themselves feel better about the fact that there’s not something divine after we die. Still fascinating though.
