11 moI refer you to the fantasy author Robert Block's short story: "The Hellbound Train". Consider that GOD always had the ABILITY to simply 'un-create' Lucifer but instead CHOSE to assign the fallen angels to a place of eternal exile wherein they'd create THEIR OWN society's dictates and Lucifer's reply: "Better to reign in Hell than be subservient in Heaven..." In GOD'S infinite wisdom, the deity KNEW Lucifer would EVENTUALLY learn with such privilege its tied to reciprocal obligating responsibility!

Anonymous(36-45)11 moI don't believe in heaven, hell, and purgatory (you forgot about this one)...
I think reincarnation is more realistic.
Why?
Because human mind is a form of energy, and we all know that energy never disappears, it only changes form.In order to enjoy heaven, or to be tormented in hell - humans need a physical body.
Heaven and hell are here on Earth, for rich people it's usually heaven, for poor people it's hell. I suppose for most people it's more like purgatory. If anyone had to choose, they would say heaven, mythological, or the more realistic one on planet Earth, to be born as a rich person.

Anonymous(45 Plus)11 moThere are some crazy @ss religious people in this world. I would go so far, based in my own personal experience, to say the majority of crazy people fall back on religion either as permission or excuse for their own behaviors.
If crazy people go to heaven then hell might be the cooler party. The scary bedtime stories might even be their screen to keep crazies out.10 Reply
Whichever place allows me the most freedom and happiness. Even if that's hell, it'll be heaven to me.

Since these are hypothetical places it would have to be heaven because the concept of it means that all that is about you is pleasing and makes you happy. HOWEVER, the idea that happy becomes the NORM makes me want to scream as there needs to be something that makes it valid that one can recognise they are happy and not just "normal". Thus it would be on the revolving door between the two places that would be my settling place where people go between each realm and give an exposure of them as we rotate around the carousel of existence.
10 ReplyHell, I would Rather Go to Hell!..
It's not like I want to go there.. to suffer.
It's That, Heaven sounds too good to be True!.. it cannot be real. At least with hell I will know it's real.
Pain is the proof that I am alive, and That Pain and Penance will make a better person in next life!..
So I Pick hell!..
And Also there is a loophole, What happens to a person who Goes to Hell and has done all his sufferings complete, what do they do in hell after that? I want to know that!

The point of hell is it's an eternity. You don't get out.

@Nik1hil What next life? It is appointed unto man to live once, after this comes the judgement. On Judgement Day you are either going to Heaven or hell. Those are your only 2 choices. And it is forever so you will never have another chance to do anything better. So you can live forever in Heaven with God himself, which will be on the New Earth. Or with Satan in the lake of fire where your torment never ends. Not believing in Heaven or Hell doesn't make it any less real.

@NoDecision You just Spoke a Paradox..
" you can live forever in Heaven with God himself" - According to your Bible, Lucifer pissed of God, and he was Cast down from Heaven to hell, Adam broke the Rule and Ate the fruit, Adam and Eve. Got Cast out of Heaven, what makes you think, you will not be cast out of heaven..
Also, Bible Says Lucifer and other fallen angels fell to Ground not Hell!.. There is no Description of a Middle ground, just Heven and Hell, which Leave another Question, if we are not in Heaven right now and This is Where Angel's Fell that means we are in Hell, Earth is hell..
Yes we are trapped here, we receive punishment after punishment, which is Birth death rebirth and you are doing your time suffering here..
There's no Judgement day, It's just you and your Souls desire to Experience Life, so it chooses to take Birth, you will Keep taking birth until all your Desires have quenched! - 8 mo
Adam and Eve were never in Heaven, they were in the Garden of Eden on Earth. Satan was cast out of Heaven down to Earth because he wanted to be as powerful as God. And he is still here on Earth causing mischief. All you have to do is read the news to see how he likes to rile things up.
m 11 moIF Hell is the place to be for people who refused, philosophically, to submit to gods and masters then...
I guess I'm going to get whipped like a cream by succubuses and meat-grinding red demons until I yield? Though it makes little sense because if hell is hot then there can't be whipped cream? So, by this logic, I'm going to heaven instead. With a winter coat, imagine how cold it must be up there in the cotton clouds Brrrrrrr
10 Reply482 opinions shared on Religion & Spirituality topic. They both sound horrible, but I guess I would prefer to have to kiss someone's ass for eternity instead of being burned for eternity. It's not really much of a choice when you think about it. It's like holding a gun to someone's head and saying you can worship me or I can kill you. Which one do you want?
11 Reply- 11 mo
Neither. Heaven sounds too blissful to be boring and Hell sounds too terrible to be torture. I'd rather reincarnate into another human being in another life time after time.

😈 I’m taking the Highway To Hell & I like warmer weather anyway. Plus I requested the all inclusive package where you get the horns & pitch fork. 😈10 ReplyMaybe we should stop thinking about an afterlife and how it would be compared to this. This could be the best version of paradise on our little blue planet.
40 ReplyIn my estimation, the former sounds an awful lot better than the latter.
I’m not too sure that we are all able to drink from the same cup as He, But I suppose there’s no harm in giving it a go.
I kind of get the impression that if we were to go to hell then it would really be a very palatable place!10 ReplyI have no particular basis for wanting to go to either of two vaguely defined fictional places. I couldn't care less about "Heaven", "Hell", Elysium, Tartarus, Nirvana, Patala, Tir Na Nog, Valhalla, Folkvangr, Niflhel, Aaru, Mictlan, Diyu, nor any other weird mythical netherworld of positive nor negative attribute.
Where I want to go is nowhere. To cease to exist. Which is what will happen eventually.22 Reply
11 moAll the fun interesting people are gonna be in Hell. All the boring self righteous religious zealots are gonna be in Heaven. Eternity. Hmmmm. I will fight kicking and screaming to get into Hell.

11 moI heard a few jokes about this. Pros and cons in hell all my friends will be there, all the music stars. Great dj-s but if hell is real nobody but a masochist wants pain.

11 moIf I believed in either, obviously Heaven. Why would anyone willlingly choose Hell unless they thought they were a terrible person who deserved the negative that happened in their lives
10 Reply
11 moThat heavily depends on one’s interpretation of the two planes. I would think, based on the christian canon, most people would prefer to go to Heaven when they die.

11 moDepends on if Hell is like a hospital or jail.
If it is a jail the sentence is life without parole, then Heaven.
If Hell is like a hospital and I'm there for treatment until my sinful ways are purged allowing me to then go to Heaven, then I might try Hell.
